September 11, 200619 yr this movie is....well....in a word......crazy. theres not much to say about it. it was pretty scary, really twisted, and just....plain wierd.........it was kinda sickening too... some people didnt like it...i thought it was OK. it was kinda boring at times...but for the most part it was pretty good...and kreepy.....and scary....and kinda gross... :ohnoes:
September 11, 200619 yr I heard it could easily win the "Worst Movie Ever" award. Of course, any movie with Nic Cage could. :P Ghost: I am prejudice towards ignorance, so that would explain why I appear to be so.
September 11, 200619 yr Nic Cage is quite possibly the worst acter. Ever. How he ever made it to where he is today and continues to be there amazes me everyday.
September 12, 200619 yr instead of going out and watching the wicker man, go out and buy the original. it is one of the best films. ever. and then set fire to nic cage.... Back by popular demand! And I guess I just wanted to tell you, as the light starts to fade, that you aree the reason, that I am not afraid, and I guess I just wanted to mention, as the heavens will fall, that we will be together soon if we will be anything at all.
September 15, 200619 yr Ah yes the original Wicker Man Is a treat to view. Oh and Listen to Iron Maiden's song the Wicker Man too :D Good song permanantley muted for offensive language! pwnd some noobs though XD
September 15, 200619 yr I guess all the people praising it have never seen the original...? Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. September 15, 200619 yr Firstly to say I haven't watched it, I saw a poster for it and just that was enough to put me off. However, I have had a few freinds report back on it. What I don't understand is how anyone ever believed this would actually be worth watching. How anyone even expects to translate the specific religious, geographical and cultural setting of the original into a modern setting baffles me. Nothing about this movie adds up: Nic Cage, Neil LaBute and 18 (count them) producers. Was it ever going to be good?
September 17, 200619 yr ya lord of war is cool and i dont know what u guys hae against nick cage... :XD:
September 18, 200619 yr I completely agree with Dogfever; classic films should never be turned into glossy hollywood remakes - they just don't work. Fair enough, I might be able to understand the remake of the Italian Job, even though I still hate it - but a rural film like The Wickerman just doesn't work in the modern day in a practically urban setting. I have no intention of going to see it. Christopher Lee > Nicholas Cage ~Ian Retired Tip It Moderator | Zybez Radio DJ - Listen Here
September 18, 200619 yr Not seen it, agree with Ian. There remaking The Wild Bunch into a gangster movie. They sicken me. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.
