Gomon
This reminds me of a purely Roleplay game. Runescape never even started out that way.. :( Vermin is definatley breeding..
Barihawk
When I first saw Varrock, I was amazed by it's grandeur and size (and I was even 16 at the time!). Four years later, my dragons are dissapearing. I rarely even visit Varrock anymore to use the intricate web of teleportations. We need wonder, and mystery. I completed over 75% of my quests without a guide, and the ones I used it for were not fun at all. I remember stumbling through the dark jungles of Karamja, doing Legends with no guide. The fun, excitement and wonder! I believe that TIF should institute a policy of not publishing quest guides until about 2 weeks after the quest is released, and hastily quashing attempts otherwise. Let everyone experience the fun of the hunt, instead of just going through steps like robots. My heart is broken by the terrible loss I have sustained in my old friends and companions and my poor soldiers. Believe me, nothing except a battle lost can be half so melancholy as a battle won. -Sir Arthur Wellesley
Ltje
Wow, really good rant, I agree for the 100%! I really think that your lower levels are the best. Oh, all that exploring, and finding new dragons. Those wore the days. I sometimes wish I could forget everything I know about Runescape, and then start over again, just for that dragon. And for the quest. I still kick myself in the chair because I've done almost all F2P quests with a guide. Stupid me. Whenever I get members, I promise I won't use a guide. Never. Retired. Elphinstone
Well... that sums it up. I want that feeling, and i want it to feel like this: I downloaded a game off the internet, promptly died in it and got sent to too dungeon lvls below where i was. I decided to fight my way out, and i did :) But there was a great feeling busting out of that dungeon with all that treasure. RuneScape felt like that when i was lvl 14, not knowing where the free world ended, and running around, getting lost and then going: 'oh whatever, ill just stay here and do something'. I Don't remember the beggar days when i stood around and asked for stuff, cause they never happened. I was too busy exploring the world. And now, im thinking about members cause of the lack of dragons. The only dragon left to me is the mining guild, and im only 2 lvls away from that now. But it will take me another week or so to get those levels cause i dont have the same rush from playing RS anymore. I need that members. Im a hooky for Role Playing, and i am DMing my D&D game tonight :D But i want that feeling you get from immersing yourself in quests, and a cool storyline. Really, can you look at the RS community and say that its a really good one? I dunno who this guy is, but i apprecciate him spelling out my opinion in so many words. One more thing. I feel as if the community has abandoned the Role Playing Game section of MMORPG. Really, can you yell at a guy for kiling monsters along with you cause hes 2 lvls below you and cant killem quite as fast? I hate people like that, as it brings down the average intellingence level to about that of :ohnoes: that smiley. Oh, and Miniclip? I hate you SO much  ~Elphinstone Which FF Character Are You?"The only tyrant i accept in this world is the still voice within." - Mahatma Gandhi
Buckeyemange
I read this on the Runescape fourms, and, In my opinion, it is one of the most well written things ever. I, being one of the "smart peoples" of my school, respect it very much. 20 thumbs up!          The GES, the only clan ruled by a Goat. Iglw
Well said. =D> I'll use maps and guides less often to keep my dragons alive. :) *charges aimlessly into some dangerous lair*
atronic92
They should make a dungeon that randomly makes a new room when you enter each room. Then it would be impossible to map. Anti
Very well said. Does anyone happen to know death_siren? She stole a green mask from me, and I think I found my way into her ignore list. If you know anything, please, don't hesitate to give me a pm.
