any tips for pulling an all nighter?

Only pulled one non-caffeine induced all nighter and I really regretted it.

If what you're doing is mildy interesting, it shouldn't be too hard. If it's not though, fresh air, bright lights and shuffled music should keep you going.

Go buy comdemmed, half life 2, doom 3 and resident evil and play them with headphones.

Nah, with full surround sound and in a dark room. :ohnoes:

Definately, except Resident Evil, that games' cheesey

Silent Hill then. ;)

Ya, after you play these games you wont be able to fall asleep :ohnoes:

BEST STUFF EVER! :P I usually drink 2-3 of them when I do the all nighters at this lan center I go to.

Oh yes, and Evadek... *Slap* Just don't watch the cutscenes in Resident Evil 4 (I've only played the 4th one ) and it won't seem corny at all. I've beaten it 4 times on normal and twice on professional, plus beaten Assignment Ada and nearly have beaten the mercanaries. If it weren't for RE4, I would hate my Gamecube.

All nighters are fun. My friends and I did that once. There was 6 of us and whenever one of us tried to go to sleep, the rest of us would throw stuff at that person. Anyway, my suggestions:

Mountain Dew / Coke

If your at your computer or something, sit in an uncomfortable chair.

Never lay your head down to "rest your eyes".

Listen to music. Preferrably something other than classical.

Talk to a friend. Doesn't matter if it's IRL, on the phone, or on AIM / MSN, just talk to a friend.

Food

If you start getting really tired, take a COLD shower. Just stand in the shower for a while.

Lights on at all times

Those are my basics. Works every time for me.

On a side note, why do you need to pull an all nighter?

I've pulled all-nighters before when i used to do all night skates, it's not that hard. (although.. skating for 8 some hours is lol.)

Deffinitly just keep your self busy, and lots of soda :D .

i know a whole lot about this kind of stuff i have stayed awake almost 1 week till i realised it was bad for me to stay up that long juts watch tv all night or be on the computer ok?

Cut me some slack. I just found out that only I can prevent forest fires, and that's a lot of pressure.

Mountain Dew. It's the best thing for staying awake all night. I used to do that all the time. A little Mountain Dew, and late night lightsaber battles. Ah, that was the life!

When you are learning, you are growing. If you stop learning, you stop growing. If you stop growing, you die. Train hard, eat fried chicken, and take a one-a-day. (And cook that broccoli 'til it's yella and pour cheese all over it)

Just like your other post, this is completely pointless and sad. Firstly it's a downright lie - You're claiming you've stayed up for nearly 168 hours straight, all the others haven't even come CLOSE to that. And if you know so much about it, then why didn't you post any helpful advice instead of just lying and typing badly?

Oh, and I hope your sig is a joke.

Two friends and I tried to go to bed about ten hours before we had to play paintball the next day. We were going to go to bed around 12:00, but ended up staying up until around 6:00. We pretty much just talked and joked around the entire time. Keep the lights off. When I turned a light on, all three of us started feeling really drowsy. I turned them off, and we couldn't shut up.

I really wouldn't call it an era. It was more of a definitive time period during which dinstinctive characteristics were expressed in similar ways.

A couple of years ago I stayed up for about 70 hours before finally taking a four-hour sleep before getting up to go to football training.

I don't know how I did it and I never want to do it again. My sleep patterns were out of whack for a week or so.

After 75+ hours without sleep, you're supposed to start hallucinating similarly to as if you were on LSD. Did you have anything like that going on, outta curiosity?

It's people like you that make me want to shoot myself. -.-

My tips would be simple. Adrenaline. Yes, adrenaline. When I'm with alot of friends at a party or something it is VERY easy to stay up all night. Just keep moving and your blood flowing. When i was at my sisters wedding reception. I well got drunk then danced until about 2 in the morning. Went back to the hotel and me and my brother played video games, watched movies until about 7 in the morning. Easy as that. Another time I recalling me and a friend out riding our ATV's at my farm in the pasture, and on the county roads. We did that all night. :P

We aren't here to facilitate topics on how to get drunk without side-effects.

^^Haha^^

dont know why you would want to but,

- avoid darkness play with lights on

- have munchies

- dont have music

- drink coke not coffee (something to do with heat)

- break routine, it might sound disgusting but have a shower the morning before and after, your body is use to a shower followed by rest so trick it.

- avoid complexity, so no study or anything too hard

- have people to talk to

- and avoid talk about sleep and how tired ur feeling

awlso when laying on the coutch bed ETC. dont let you head fell any thang soft awlys hold your head up from any thang soft or you well be out cold in a cuple of sec.
