hmm...

Both are pretty good.

The first is nice because the red draw's you in and then the other colors of red kind of move your eye around.

I realy like the second one. Great focus on the picture.

My thoughts exactly.

I actually made a quick (well, I say quick it was about ~15 minutes) photomanip to emphasise that a bit more.

I accidentally cut off the bottom of the berries. :(

Keep it up Woopi. :)

Dang, cad. That looks amazing.

do u wow?

Cassiius|Level 70 Night Elf Preist|Runetotem

Sambora|Level 37 Tauren Shaman|BurningLegion

The first one doesn't have much glow or ambience to it... the light is just a stripe across the leaf... no real power to that lighting... It needed a photomanip to make it actually look all that decent (canburry your sig is swoot =P~ )

Second one is much better, see how the light goes across the shell highlighting it... That draws out the shine on the snail which imho makes it look good...

anyway both are purty but the second one is better

New sigzor^^

Very nice work cad, but i prefer the second one when its not in a manip, i just like the colours of the shell.

Lol if were goin to go around bragging about camera's i've got a 7mgp pentax SLR with a massive lense so muhahahaha. i'll get you the specs when i get home

For woops original pictures:

They both lack a direct form or "attention". I do not really know what the target of the picture or subject is. They have too much clutter and not enough detail on my main focus of the picture. For ex: Try to only get one bunch of red berries in the picture. As for the snail, use leading lines of the plant to try and make the eye wander from one part of the picture to the main focus the snail. These are just some basic photography ideas to help you with your next shots.

edit: but they are still pretty good. didnt wanna sound like a complete jerk

geez, im gonna have to take a pic....

*wipes dust off 8.3 mps camera and then prepares to take an image, then realises their are no decent snapshots....*

...maybe tomorrow?

Soon, you'll see one of my digital images!

And, i'm a camera pro! :P

EDIT: I do very much like the first image, but theirs something about the second I dislike. The first one has been caught very well, usually, someone would just get an image of the berries, but you got that just right, and the camera has also put some decency into the image

ok, thanks both

I will see the rest of the replies tomorrow.

Hmm, i'd think i'd disagree with you a bit. For me I think that the bright red (especialy the berrys with light shining on them) realy draw the attention. I do agree the first the berrys could be brought out a bit more, but to me they still draw my focus first.

The second seems "fairly" obvious. The shell is the most intricate of all the objects there, especaily the objects in the foreground (which consit of a twig and some leaves.). The intricate design also draws your eye.

It probaly could be placed just a "tad" better (so some of the bottom leaves more point towards the actual shell, for example, the leaf on the left).

All in opinions of course, fun to talk about them though :D .

Well I am no photography expert but imo i would have taken the snail one vertical (To go with the plant). Showing more of the lower stem. Well i dunno its hard to tell i guess from the pictures being square. The picture itself being vertical or horiztonal gives a lot of direction in the picture.

Edit: I see they arent completely square, but still seem square to me.

By the way, the snail on the leaf, was surrounded by annoying plants. If I would touch one of those plants, I would be in pain

thanks for the replies, when i got batteries im gonna make more pics.

I wish i could show some pictures on here,

Honestly you have no idea how great a picture can look when you get a model. Try it, if you have a few mates that love taking photos chip in together and hire a model for say 3 hours, normally costs about 50 bucks (AUD) an hour for a decent model. But get 4 mates who love taking photos and if 30 bucks, not bad and you'll get some amazing shots.

I love the simplicity of the pictures, they look very natural.

Keep up the great work.
