Caisadi
The guild of all the best lumberjacks! The woodcutting guild. However, it's a cave entrance in the ground and there's no guards... So getting in should be easy, right? Wrong! Getting in! To get in, go to the place marked on the map (Tree Gnome Stronghold, just to the South-West), and you will see a huge tree called "Ancient Oak Tree" will be blocking the entrance. Ancient Oak Trees require a woodcutting level of 70 to cut through. This one doesn't give you EXP when you cut it down, neither does it trigger any random events. This one simply guards the guild. Cut it down and you will see the option "crawl through" when you hover over the cave entrance. Click that and you will enter the guild! What's inside? 226 trees is the simple answer. When you enter, you will see the gate to the firemaking guild, or mini-guild if you want. It requires 80 firemaking to enter. Carry on to a room with hundreds of trees. Then, look around a corner and you will see the Advanced Guild entrance. It's a gate which you need 85 woodcutting to pass through. In here are some Ancient Oak trees as well as a strange contraption called the "Auto-Saw". Ancient Oaks: Cut an Ancient Oak tree down. You will get 1-125 logs per tree. Then the tree will fall down. Random events work normally and they respawn every ten minutes in your average 1000-player world. They give 200exp per log. What do they do though? Auto-Saw Use an "Oak Log [A]" with an Auto-Saw in the guild's advanced section and you will be given lots of options of what to change it to. Axe Handle 1 Ancient Oak Needs 50 Fletching And 60 Crafting Pickaxe Handle 2 Ancient Oaks Needs 70 Fletching And 70 Smithing Plus 80 Crafting Also, you can use the Firemaking guild to your advantage with Ancient Oaks... Firemaking Miniguild In the Firemaking Miniguild you will find a - Bomb Stall where you can buy tinderboxes (1000 in stock by default, and they respawn) for 50gp each, and vials of liquidized bronze (1000gp), iron (2000gp), steel (6000gp), black (12,000gp), mithril (20,000gp), adamant (30,000gp), rune (50,000gp) and Blood Scale (dragon: 5mil gp), and ashes (20k in stock by default, and they respawn) for 200gp each - plus a giant fire with a tube next to it. Use any log with the tube to burn it in the fire. This will give you 50% more firemaking exp than it would if you normally burnt it with a tinderbox. The disadvantage is this: you have to have a tinderbox in your inventory (not to use, just have it there when you put the log down the tube). When the log goes down, your tinderbox will automatically burn out and turn to "ashes" in your inventory. So you'll need a lot of tinderboxes in your bank - there'll also be a giant furnace with blood red flames. Buy a liquidized material from the bomb shop, and use it with some ashes. The "Liquidized Bronze" (using bronze as an example) will turn to "Bronze in Vial ". The S stands for Solid. So you now have a bar of bronze, but it's stuck inside a vial. So put it in the furnace along with one Ancient Oak log and a menu will appear. You can make the following: Axe Heads Requires Materials in Vials Bronze: 1 Smithing Req, 100exp Iron: 10 Smithing Req, 200exp Steel: 20 Smithing Req, 500exp Black: 30 Smithing Req, 1000exp Mithril: 40 Smithing Req, 5000exp Adamant: 50 Smithing Req, 7,000exp Rune: 60 Smithing Req, 10,000exp Dragon: 80 Smithing Req, 20,000exp Pickaxe Heads Requires Materials in Vials Bronze: 1 Smithing Req, 100exp Iron: 10 Smithing Req, 200exp Steel: 20 Smithing Req, 500exp Black: 30 Smithing Req, 1000exp Mithril: 40 Smithing Req, 5000exp Adamant: 50 Smithing Req, 7,000exp Rune: 60 Smithing Req, 10,000exp Dragon: 80 Smithing Req, 20,000exp Choose one, then you will see a message saying, "The vial smashes in the heat." Then you'll have the head! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've tried to balance things out, but it might not be any good. Dalcyte
personally i don't like wc guild suggestions, as the entire world of runescape is the woodcutting guild. Also, fm is so easy as it is, no point in making it easier. Click for mah Blog!- I'm not sure why you would though because i never update it Achieved 99 Thieving 3/10/07-992nd to it

Prankster_King
It's a pretty cool idea. Fm needs some new improvements... ThurinEthir
Well, it's the best woodcutting guild suggestion I've seen. I'll give you that. But I still say no. Why? Like Dalcyte said, there are trees everywhere. Meaning it can be trained everywhere. Besides, just go to Seers' village, since that's pretty much an unofficial guild, having every tree except for the jungle trees. Intriguing
good idea but make the fm guild lv. 50 required Erm, why? Every man and his dog has 50 firemaking. 80 is good. [Mind you, I'd still have to get 5 more levels.. :(] Good idea, I think. Cool.
drapit
Oh this is a so nice idea if it wasnt for those "other" stuff u added like ancient oaks and stuff. Just make the place above ground and have a large variety of trees and less randoms happening. Also put bob's brother there.
Pretzel
This is a very well thought out idea but think about it. This place would absolute macroer heaven. If there was some way to deter macroers it would have my full support. I see its P2P (I'm a F2P, so this is no good for me) so that would definately make it macro unfriendly, but i think it needs a little more. Also shouldn't the firemaking guild be a guide on its own. Maybe near it, but not inside the woodcutting guild. Think about it cooking and fishing go hand in hand but they are both separate guilds. Free to Player fo' life!99/99 skateboarding :pwhy dont you use this awesome thing i like to call common sense. Its done wonders for me, ive never been hacked, scammed or anything like that. Caisadi
Thanks everyone! This is a very well thought out idea but think about it. This place would absolute macroer heaven. With the requirements i've set for it? I don't think so. That's the whole reason for 70 woodcutting and 80 firemaking requirements. If there was some way to deter macroers it would have my full support. I see its P2P (I'm a F2P, so this is no good for me) so that would definately make it macro unfriendly, but i think it needs a little more. Can you suggest anything? Also shouldn't the firemaking guild be a guide on its own. Maybe near it, but not inside the woodcutting guild. Think about it cooking and fishing go hand in hand but they are both separate guilds. But what's the process in Firemaking? Get some logs and burn them. Not worth a whole new guild.
