Just Plain Sad

Featured Replies

I was cooking shrimps to pass the time. I didn't really care too much for them, so I decided to give them to low levels and be nice. I found a level 5 and decided he would do. I offer to trade and he accepts, so I put 169 cooked shrimp up and push accept right away. Out of no where he put's up 600gp. After about 2 seconds, I say 'I'm giving them for free'. Then he declines and says "omg, scammer!"

What is this world coming to? :ohnoes:

Uhhh.... weird. Reminds me of myself giving out free rune. All who traded got an earth or water rune! People called me a scammer...?

On-Topic: Just a new player, I guess. Maybe a bit paranoid? Maybe he thought you were trying to get his "riches". :-w

Well, he was obviously new

I just drop my stuff on the gound now because the same thing happened a few weeks ago to me.

Maybe he thought you were trying to get his "riches". Whistle

I dont see how some one would think you are stealing his riches, if you are giveing him something free.

I am still wondering what riches the level 5 was proctecting.

I will shoot down any one with my bitting wit, and sarcasm!

What POSSIBLE reason would someone have to make a fake like that?Does he profit from faking a picture like that? Does it help him at all?Jesus Christ, stop being so suspicious. This is Tip.it for God's sake, not RuneHQ. -_-

Odd. At least you can't be reported for it...

He probably couldn't believe that you would possibly give him that many shrimp as it is obviously so expensive and you would lose a lot of money that it just had to be a scam.

That was kind of odd. When I donate, people quickly accept and never offer any sort of thank you payment heh

If you changed Zammy to phat, more f2p would understand it... Brilliant idea btw!

Moving to new account, subtle_rune. Please PM me there. Now you know that you can trust him!

You were obviously out to steal his Frosted Lucky Charms by lulling him into a false sense of security with your generous offer.

You never can be too sure about that now adays. People get banned for the strangest things.

That is sad, but more funny to me. Funny that noobs can be so stupid to think free stuff is a scam. At least he didnt beg though.

that's happened to me twice. once when i tried giving a lvl 10 free iron armor. reported me, got a notice...but i got it appealed. second time, a pm reported me for scamming and i got muted for 2 days. all because i was giving away a sapphire i got from the mysterious old man

NOC!

Paranoia sets in...

Players are currently just adapting to what is around them. Most are surrounded by a large number of scammers and conners, so they have learned not to trust anyone, which is technically something good to live by. Taking it as far as this is just plain irrational and makes you look bad. I myself give away quite a bit, and am yet to be called a scammer. Best to have a pleasant exterior when dealing with the paranoid ones.

why feed the noobs :wall: , theyre like chickens without the ability to lay eggs

I feed the newbs, but not the noobs. :)

The new players appreciate help, and may some day return the favour. Noobs however just want more.. and more.. and more.. until they explode, taking you down with them.
