elmo_killer6
My firends are all talking about it, but I don't think my parents would let me go see it. I'll have to either see it once it's on DVD or possbibly go with other friends who haven't seen it. foolgool
I just loved the battle style, since in fights like in LotR you can't tell who's beating the crap out of who. Here you can clearly see Leonidas hewing heads and limbs without wondering. 10/10 The code in my sig should say 1032 not 0132.
Gordo525
To be honest, do you really think the creators of this movie, albeit the viewers as well, will have read this book?Do you think anyone going to see this movie will know Sparta from Spar Supermarkets? No.No one cares. If they had read the book then they would not need to see an adaptation of it, mainly because they knew that Hollywood would ruin it for everyone.I'm going to see this film purely because the action in it looks immense, I am going to have a good time and try and enjoy the mindless violence that I love so much. There is nothing wrong with enjoyment ,just because someone has butchered history. I know exactly what you mean, its just ruining the whole game for everybody, this is the worst update since noobs.

Your term "butchering history" assumes that 300 was meant to be historically accurate in any way, which it isn't. It's loosely based on the concept and is a work of fiction. Get it straight. DanMalak11
After all the hype leading up to this movie, it was a bit of a let down. The movie was not at all what I thought it was going to be. The story was pretty shallow and the characters were very generic, you could not really connect with them. The action sequences were pretty repetative, he stabs a guy with a spear, blood splurts everywhere, repeat. The ending was not very good either and did not make much sense to me. The only good thing I can say about this movie is that the visuals were impressive. Overall I'd grade this movie: D :-# Mr Blasty33 - 116 Combat~ 99 Attack ~ 99 Magic ~ 99 HP ~ 94 Strength ~ 98 Range ~

Also, when he threw the spear, it showed the "God" he was mortal because he bled. I <3 Gears of War 2. Spartans are very proud people who consider it an honor to die for their country, and the Persians are evil, slave driving, cowards. Not a very deep story. You actually thought this movie was supposed to have a good story? That was never the intention of the movie, I have no idea where you would have gotten that impression. The story is supposed to be shallow, the characters aren't supposed to be realistic. It's supposed to be overacted, exciting, brutal. It's an action movie, and most of the reason for its hype was it's fantastic visuals.
venomai
Plot was lame but it was well executed from an artistic standpoint. Sound and visuals just blew me away. Definitely not the kind of movie to take your girlfriend to, though! :P
How2PK
I saw it yesterday at the sneak preview (went and hoped I got to see it:D). And I must say I had a good time. It was basically what I expected. A lot of eyecandy (not refering to the male torsos, hehe) and great sound. But other than that the movie didn't have much to offer, it was pretty empty. But I had a great time, so 8 out of 10 for now. But after a second viewing that score will most likely go down. You actually thought this movie was supposed to have a good story? It's missing someting. Just because they never meant to have a good story doesn't justify their not having one. :) He only directed 1 scene of Sin City. Which scene was it? I should have put "part of" in front of Sin City though but I really am not sure what a "guest director" does in a movie O.o I thought he did the car scene, you know where Clive Owne is driving with Del Torro dead in the passager seat with the gun stuck in his head. Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!

MyPurpleCrayon
I hate it when people rate movies depending on what they wanted to see and what they expected, rather than what the director wanted the film to become. This reminds me of when M. Night came out with The Village, it was a fantastic movie, but it got so many terrible reviews just because everyone expected it to be a scary horror movie. You all are irritating. Gerard was hot in this, which is weird because I didn't find him the least bit attractive in Phantom of the Opera. That's probably because his face was supposed to look as if it were burned from acid... :? Ghost: I am prejudice towards ignorance, so that would explain why I appear to be so.
