x_giva
Wouldn't it be funny if jagex were to pay scientists and name an element? As in, recently, scientists discovered element 118, which was given the temporary name ununoctium. Just post your opinion on wether or not this would be possible, if it would pwn, if we should ask Jagex to do this, or another funny name for it. If you want actual information on this element, follow this link. Unfortunately, the page is bombarded with ads. Or, if you have a more scientific mind, check out this link! ahh... the good old days, when 30 attack got you on the high-scores....... An orthodox Jew and proud of it! Guest GhostRanger
The Internation Federation of Awesome Scientists (iFas) is currently considering renaming all of the elements after a variation of my name. That's the only element-naming I would support right now.

xKing_Natex
ROFL GIVA, btw ya hear about the new element that was made recently, i think it lasted like .5 milliseconds before it went poof Wait I think when I was in science class runitebagalum was an element or was that in computer class... :-w
lawrencekill
Yup. Seems like the newer elements have very short half-lifes. Well two ways I know an element can be named: 1. The scientist who found it names it. 2. The scientist sells the right to name the element. Not sure which I'd choose...

Adam007
I don't know why specifically jagexium would be funny. You could apply your joke to much funnier things (in comparison to the original joke, of course). If anyone were able to bid for an element name, I can assure you jagex wouldn't be up there at all in terms of biddings. More like microsoftine or Exxonium. (It's sad when sarcasm goes unnoticed apinagez :( )
Guest GhostRanger
More like microsoftine or Exxonium. Mm...I could support the latter. I'm a big Exxon stockholder so that's kind of like naming it after me.

Lionheart_0
actually there are a few of them with temporary names (I just noticed this today in chemistry while looking at the table.) I think it would be cool if the public got to name one, although there would have to be strict rules about it. I dont want to have to look up an element that has a stupid name. x_giva
i think numbers 110-118 have temporary names. ahh... the good old days, when 30 attack got you on the high-scores....... An orthodox Jew and proud of it!
Lionheart_0
i think numbers 110-118 have temporary names. I thought this too, but im looking on the internet, and i can find no offical Periodic table which says so. most dont even include higher then 113, and those that do seem to have named 110 and 111, wierd. Probably the most offical one i can find. http://periodic.lanl.gov/default.htm Apparently 110 was named. Sig by IkuraiYour Guide to Posting! ThurinEthir
It's unununium, Nick. At least if you meant element 111. Trust me, I've memorized the first 101 elements...Only the names, not atomic mass. I know a few atomic symbols though... So yeah, if Jagexium becomes an element, that'd be cool. Although I'm hoping for Redsoxium or Taiwanium. Neither will likely happen, but oh well... Cenin pân nîd, istan pân nîd, dan nin ú-cenich, nin ú-istach.Ithil luin eria vi menel caran...Tîn dan delu.
