Some people are gonna be mighty pissed, though I believe you do get the option to install it ... that'll teach people to READ what the prompts say, instead of just Oking everything.

Some people are gonna be mighty pissed, though I believe you do get the option to install it ... that'll teach people to READ what the prompts say, instead of just Oking everything. It was pushed out as a High Priority update, so unless you've changed the automatic update settings, you're gonna get force fed IE. Most sheeple won't care that it changed though, just that it still works. The general population doesn't know enough about computers to care. :?

Hasn't been forced on me. First time Ive opened IE since the new version, there's just a button on the toolbar: "Get IE7 Now!" Edit: Just downloaded, started installing, got to the step to verify your Windows is genuine... so much for that =\ Combat FTL

November 10, 200619 yr Already over 2000 exploits in the new one. Dont use it. Just dont. Care to back that up with a real source that isn't just your fingers typing out wild claims? Security Focus has 5 advisories out for IE 7. Secunia has 3. Hell, even IE 6 doesn't have that many public vulnerabilities. IE 7 is at least a step in the right direct. I don't like IE as much as any other geek but claiming 2000 exploits without backing it up means you either need to make with a source to back it up or be slapped back to the sandbox. November 10, 200619 yr Meah. I got auto-updates on, but it has to get my ok before it'll install anything :) No IE7 for me until there is full web standards support (ie: never going to happen).
