hungryblader
Hey, I always thought it'd be cool to make an MORPG, but the half-decent 3-d programs are too expensive. does anyone know of a good 2-d MORPG-making program that has decent graphics? I'd prefer a free one. I did a search, and didn't find anything. "Dost hath not giveth thy name 'noob' to thy brethren... ...Or thou art must considereth thyself a noob as well." deloriagod
I'm not sure what you consider 'decent' but there's a few 3-d modeling programs out there that are pretty damn good for being free (Blender being one of the best I've found). And I don't think you really know what you're doing. In order to create a game it takes more than a program to do it. You also have to write the program for it (via Java, C++, etc). Nadril
C++'ll make you a good MMORPG.
agresser
If you're looking for a full 2D game creator, try RPG Maker 2003, or that new one RPG Maker Postality Knights or however one spells it.
Viktorkrum77
Sorry, you're mostly out of luck unless you feel like spending a few 100 dollars to buy some decent programs. Trials are limited, so they are only good to experience the product, hence there name. As far as decent, it may cost a few 100. As far as great, it would costs upwards of a $1000. Everytime you want to start a new hobby, it always costs money. Me doing staff.

C++ is a powerful language, but it takes while to pick up. Python is easier and free, but not as powerful. VB is very simple to learn, but it's hard to do anything complex in it without obliterating your system resources. Tigra00
Learn to program first. Go from there. C++ or Java is probably your best bet, lol. RPG Maker 2003 That's the best you're going to find, and it's actually very good with a FF-esque battle system and very easy interface (you don't even need to know how to program). cyco
I despise anyone that uses lame "Game maker" programs to make 2D games. Just learn how to program like the others have said. (C++, VB, Java, etc.)
