The Old Castle Wars : Where Did It Go?

Featured Replies

I logged on today and thought, Wow i think i'll go play some c wars. But it was not the same, one team won by 10 points nearly everytime.....I miss the old days of 1-0 wins, thye were fun. But it's not the same. Is there any specific world i should be using? I miss the old days. :ohnoes:

What do you guys think of c wars now?

I like castle wars ::'

However, i really think the should imply a balancing system built on combat lvls. A team could consist of 50 lvl 100's, while the other team Consists of 50 lvl 3's.

Guess which team wins. <.<

I LOVE Castle Wars.

I never pk (but I do DK) and I can honestly it's the only thing in game that I'm not embarresed to have me dad standing over my shoulder watching.

That and Ice Barraging people and laughing at them while holding their flag is funny as hell.

Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.

Probably a clan was playing at the world you were.

Try world 2 or 6 for even games between higher levels.

I knew someone was going to do that, guess it had to be you 8-) .

I don't no whats with the 10-0 games you're seeing, but maybe change worlds? You might be in a CW clan infested world  . Generally I see close games when I play without inviting friends and 10+-0's are rare.

World 6 or 18 are generally good ones. Or maybe you just own an incredible amount.

u are thinking of when cw first came out and all lvls played it so it was pretty even

Normally, all high lvls go on the same team since they don't wanna be stuck with a team full of noobs.

They should make it so that the sum of all combat lvls is somewhat equal, rather than the number of players on each team.

It's because the noobs always go to the team who won last and higher lvls generally switch teams every game. (How I got my 15 game win-streak)

I love c wars, but i dont like those kinda matches. Jagex should change it to make it more fair. And i think it would be cool to get xp in c wars like you do in pest control with xp for fightin and tickets.

What, fun isn't it's own reward?

This game doesn't have to always be about making your numbers go up  . It never hurts to actually have some fun every once in a while, eh?

Yes it hurts, it is wasted time cos I don't get the xp.

Cw is great if the teams are balanced and if there are no 'scouts' that want their own team to lose. But it normally isn't like that :x

If 1 team owns all the time, just switch worlds

Or just bring bind/ancients with you. If you're the only one with mage like that you own

flag holding has ruined castlewars, a high level gets the flag and no one on the other team can kill them as they usually have a good 20 people round him, at first everyone thought it was a bug but clearly Jagex doesn't think it is and have left it in for many months almost a year now i think

I hate Castle Wars with a passion. It seems to me that the game all depends on whether or not you have a couple of ancients on your team that can park at the other team's castle and freeze them, and if you can get a couple of high levels together that can get their own flag and hold it until the end of the game. There is no honor in that game anymore.

I will only start playing when they make it so you cannot hold your own flag anywhere in the game. If you touch your own flag, it goes back to your castle whether or not you are in the castle or not. This would make the game a lot more balanced.

Just today, I now hate CW. Everyone has these strategies which they try to block you from the flag or hide the flag away from you. Or even hold thier own flag to keep it away from the enemy. It's quite a frustrating game. It seems every game I'm on, my team lose. I just want to play a simple CTF game where I just run to the flag and take it back with at least some enemys running after me. Not with some cheesy tactics. -.-

No longer playing Runescape, I caught the WoW bug.

Then don't let them get the flag. Get some d hide and score on the ancients. If someone else on your team tries to score, follow them and pick it up if they die. If you can't do that, then obviously the other team is better than you, and was probably going to win anyways. The team with ancients or more ancients is certainly not always gonna win. It's generally the team with the most people who understand the strategy of the game. And sometimes it's not, because there is a luck factor involved. I truly think anyone who complains about flag holding or about ancients ruining it just isn't good enough at the game yet to beat the ancient who has played a lot. And that makes sense. Just my little rant.

I think castle wars is good the way it is. Usually the people that dislike the game came unprepared. If all you bring is full rune you can't expect to have any control over the outcome of the game. I allways bring all 3 forms of combat with me, so I can switch according to the situation. I don't fear ancient mages, they fear my 15+ hits with my c bow and the splashes on my karils/d hide. I don't fear flagholding teams since I'll keep coming back again and again, wearing down their bandages and prayer points. I don't fear losing a game, because I'm having good fun doing so and I'll have better luck next time.

Sound like your one to somthing there..

I really want to get the gold castle wars set for my house but every time i play we loss, games take to long and are boring

Edit: amount of tickets you get stinks aswell should get 1 ticket every 2 flag captures and 1 extra for the winning team.

(1 Ticket every 2 flag captures for the player who got the 2 captures)

I officially hate CW

Feel free to HYT me ingame!

I thought world 9 was the Cwars world? Anyway, I still play it every few nights or so for some fun. But people are too competitive about it now.
