Youaretheman
Yes, I did see the other topic. However, I want to discuss something different. I saw it on friday. I thought the story at the end, the way it plotted out was amazing. It gave me chills when he had that tape, I knew what was going to happen though. I thought it was extremely cool. HOWEVER. Out of the 3, this one. I could barely watch it. Some of the pain\suffering they put these people through, I couldn't even keep my eye's open. I saw it with my sister (she just turned 17 friday so we saw it) and man lol I could barely keep my eyes open. So if you are squeemish, do not see this movie. The reason I love this series though is because they really make you think. The first saw, god I loved it. I'm sitting there the whole time thinking "wth is going to happen?" and etc. They do get a little more predictable, but the 3rd one well they always have a good surprise in there. And I think the storyline that they based it upon is good. It's not just some dumb horror movie of someone killing a person. I think the 3rd is the last of the series though because well I'm not going to spoil what happens but there MIGHT be a 4th. I'm not sure, because I have a thought but as I said I don't want to spoil anything. Your thoughts on this? I like movies with alot of gore, they are fun to see. But some of this was just to brutal for me, and I'm a very pain tolerated person. But ooo man this one made me cringe. :P
Harrington
Yeah, it was gorey.... but it doesn't make up for a lack of plot compared to the first two. It was a good movie in its own right, but not a mark on the first two, not by a long shot.
B_50_2
The horriblist bit is the freezing room. Gahhh! But yeah good film, i don't think there will be another one, because of the end. Futurama
i doubt it'll be as bad as everyone is making out, some moments in saw 2 (the arm trap thingy near the end, and the pit of needles) were a bit cringe worthy but otherwise i didnt really turn an eye, nor to anything in hostel. itll be a good movie no doubt, 1 and 2 were amazing, but is it really that gory? i've heard they had ambulances at the cinemas in town on release night because people were throwing up and passing out...then again gore never really bothered me in movies. ctp080188
I watched almost none of that film I have to admit. I just couldn't look, I had to ask my boyfriend what actually happened in practically the whole film. It was actually disgusting, I guess they're trying for the shock tactics rather than a decent storyline. I do normally shut my eyes in horror films and such, but I can say for the majority they're open. In saw 3 though, I would have saved energy by buying a blindfold. SHH HUT YUH MUH. DERKHED. Futurama
hahah was talking to this about my mom not long ago actually and she started saying "they should be bloody locked up, theyre sick in the head" so i said. well not really, criminals should be locked up who batter old women and hold up shops with shotguns. all they've done is make a film, noone's forcing you to watch it. "...bloody filth" she replied. hahah.

Of course, I heard they had people throwing up in the theatre for when the "Hills have eyes" remake came out, and I think a lot of us know how that turned out. *cough*lame*cough*. Haven't seen Saw III yet. In fact, I haven't seen any of the Saw's yet. :-k . Makes me wonder how far they are going to go with them, because it's starting to turn into a "new" horror serries just like Jason / Michael Myers / ect. did. Hopefully we won't see 'em in space soon anyways. Artemis495
I watched Saw 3 over the weekend, and the only thing that made me mad was the fact that somebody had brought a 7 yr old girl with them to see it. Now, I'm in my twenties and I almost needed therapy after it was over... I can only imagine what sort of nightmare that poor kid would be having. (I informed the responsible adult that this movie was not for children, in case they'd intended to see Flushed Away and wandered into the wrong theater. They stayed.) Guess i am one: I have seen the first part and i defintely don't want to see anymore. my advice: If you easily get disturbed by gruesome movies, DON't WATCH ANY OF THE SAW MOVIES easily one of the most disturbing movies i have ever seen (well "baise moi! or however you spell it was disturbing to, but in a completely different way.) I have to admit i easily get nightmares from about any horror movie but this one is heavy (at least the first part was). Well maybe i'll watch the other parts one day, but definitely not alone at night in my house in this industrial sprawl. "shudders"

Futurama
i didnt think the first two were partiulary gruesome hahah. a few nasty moments, but more psychological than gruesomeness... like the girl being pushed into the pit of needles in II, that's more digging into people's fears than just full on horrible gore. Guest
Saw it yesterdaynight, it was bad. Quite laughable though. Pun? :P I watched it and loved the twist at the end of the movie. With the ending it had, it definitely means that there's gotta be a Saw IV. They definitely exposed it all, especially in that Freezer Scene.

Parabola
If you easily get disturbed by gruesome movies, DON't WATCH ANY OF THE SAW MOVIES Probably an even worse idea to watch Hostel. I watched SAW 3 the other day, I thought it was better than SAW 2 but not better than SAW 1 - simply because number 1 had the air of originality about it. Satenza
Eh, i hate this type of cinema. It's just exploitation to disgusting amounts. Peckinpah in the 70's was one thing, having this amount of violence just is way over the top. I can't see why people would like to see this, they have a right too but why? I saw the first and that was bad enough all i hear now is they get more gory with each film. Films like Salo at least have a message behind them, this is just pointless and stupid in my opinion. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.
