Astralinre
It's interesting that this topic came up, because I just read a very interesting passage about suicide a few minutes ago. Orthodoxy[/u]":uuh176vu]Not only is suicide a sin, it is the sin. It is the ultimately and absolute evil, the refusal to take an interest in existence; the refusal to take the oath of loyalty to life. The man who kills a man, kills a man. The man who kills himself, kills all men; as far he is concerned he wipes out the world. "In so far as I am Man I am the chief of creatures. In so far as I am a man I am the chief of sinners." - G.K. BlueLancer
As a result of wanting to kill themselves, many a times the sucidal people first kill their love-ones so they won't feel the blow of losing someone dear. Sorry, but that's ridiculous. Show me 1 evidence for this? Suicidal people usually don't want to first kill their loved ones. I would like to see a reply. I couldn't offer you any proof of the suicidal person's thought processes, but if I weren't to lazy to do so I could find several instances of murder/suicide in which a man killed his family before killing himself. Granted, I'd hardly say that's common, but it does happen. "In so far as I am Man I am the chief of creatures. In so far as I am a man I am the chief of sinners." - G.K. BlueLancer
I doubt the average suicidal teenager wants to kill his/her family though.
fakeitormakeit
I HAVE exaggerated let me fix the many a times to some times( i stand corrected)but i did read several instances and hear on the news were before they killed themselves they had killed their spouse, brother, sister, mother, dad, etc. My example(im not sure if your allowed to name books so i wont) I was reading *INSERT BOOK TITLE HERE* and i read how this one teenager was about to kill himself but realize he loved his parents too much to let them suffer so he killed them too. This is no story, it is based on real life events and the sister of the person was interviewed. Also, if you here someone killed themselves on the news you'll something here something like this "John Smith was found dead last night at his house in candyland, he had shot himself 3 times after killing his mother, Maggy Mouse."(the names, event and locations are fake)
calitoker90
Yes but most of the time when he commits suicide but kills his parents first he is commiting suicide because of his parents. It's not oh I dont want them to feel pain.
vladmoney
I just want to point a study that was done about people who unsuccessfully tried to commit suicide by jumping off the golden gate bridge. All subjects said when they were falling down, they thought that everything in their lives could be fixed. Except for one thing, they couldn't change the fact that they were falling. Gin_and_Tonic
When i hear about School Kids who have commited suicide because of bullying, it makes me sick. Being a 16 year old, diagnosed with hearing loss at 14 years of age, resulting in the aid of larger sized hearing aids, i know how it feels to be bullied - It makes your vulnerable and weak... However, unlike most victims, i spoke about it... But i know, the schools in this time period DO NOTHING about bullying... I went to the school headmaster 4 times in 4 months to try get things sorted... Still nothing... So what do i do? I talk to my Brother. The bulliers were a year older than me, and my brother two years older than me. He was regularly weight training, but never liked to fight. He said to me if they do it again, go talk to him at school. Next day i hear 'Oi, deaf boy'... I walk off, go get my Brother. 20 minutes later three kids with broken noses, one with a broken Jaw, and one unconcious... What happens to my Brother? Hes suspended. Why? Because the school did f all about bullying... See, thats not always something a child can do about bullying, but just bottle it up till things just get worse. Luckily for me, i had my brother, but others dont, and that is what makes me sick. Its a vicous circle. You get bullied - You dont turn up at school - You get grief by teachers for not going - You return - You get bullied again - No one listens to you - You stop going - Forced back - still no one listens - Bullied again. So on and so forth. Its not always easy. Which is way i could never judge a person who has commited suicide.

I would definately agree that teachers dont do [cabbage] about bullying these days (although i never had that problem). Its a culture that just leads to the exasserbation (spelling) of the whole bullying problem. any teacher who stands up for those being bullied has integrity and earns my respect. Any teacher who sits by idoly and pretends it isnt happening is a coward.
