Does smoking 3 bird snares really help?

so i decided to test it out, my hypothesis was that it took way to long to smoke all 3 traps, and that it would be faster xp just to not smoke it.

of course the results would be different for the amount of traps you have, because if you have one. you can manage to smoke it. with 2 you can also, but who knows with 3?

i am going to be doing quite a hand full of tests.

constants

Camo: Full larupia

#: 3 bird snares

bird: tropical wagtail

Manipulated Variables

Smoked or nonsmoked

time

test 1

time: 10mins

smoked: 1899 xp

nonsmoked: 2004 xp

Test 2

im doing test 2 now

time: 30mins

smoked:

nonesmoked:

Test 3

im doing this later

time: 1 hour

smoked:

nonsmoked:

so far from the 1 test my data supports my hypothesis that smoking 3 bird snares do not help, because it takes to much time to smoke them.

of course i have only done 1 test so data will change

Whats smoking traps? Does that just mean setting them up. . .?

no once you reach 39? hunter you can use a lit torch to smoke your traps and remove your scent from them

supposedly gives a better chance of catching something

Oh I think putting up more than 2 traps is a waste of time right now. Way too many people, but it will own in the future.

Smoking does not speed up the rate of animals setting on the trap. It reduces the failure times. Birds don't fail much, so smoking will not be as noticeable.

However!!!!! I did green lizards. Once I hit 39, I failed noticeably less using the smoke.

So, smoke traps that have higher hunting requirements. I think the results will be more noticeable.

When tracking results, compare fail to no fail. Removes oddities such as player crowds.

the only thing u need to smoke is for red chimchompas since they are hard to catch at lvl 63, but u dont need bait. Anything lower doesn't need bait or to be smoked.

I dont know about salamanders as I never even trapped them or lizards lol.
