November 24, 200619 yr Hmm.. to be honest Runescape just isn't a big enough game to justify the costs of advertising on National television. Compared to the sheer weight of players and the money World of Warcraft makes, Runescape is nothing, advertising on T.v is not the way to go for a game like Runescape, increasing the advertising on the internet is the best option for Runescape to grow at the moment. But just like everyone else is saying; No one currently playing Runescape wants a sudden rush of new players to come in and fill the game up.

Runescape has 9million Active Members and 850,000 paying Members.. I think that runescape is "Big" enough this game is on the top 10 most played MMORPG (did i spell that wrong?) ----Retired Runescape Player 1/13/07-----
November 24, 200619 yr From player's point of view, hell no, this game is already full enough :wall: We need more new players for economy - for example, eventually if everybody earns enough and buys a whip then demand will reach nearly 0 and then the price will crash to around the high alch price  . If its not for new players, how else can we sell our item such as g mauls - high lvl players have very little use for them Matthew T-DWhip drops: 9Abyssal head drops: 3
November 24, 200619 yr Uh oh, if Jagex does make a commercial, we'll have to stop worrying about Miniclippers and start worrying about Nickelodean'ers. :P Oh god no! As if the maturity level isn't already low enough. I might be forced to quit if they made a commerical and a bunch of spongebob squarepants fanatics started playing. I get enough "per do ur cape emote!!!!! now!!!!1!!", "can i hav fre stuf", "pronix lvl????", thank you very much.
November 24, 200619 yr Actually G4 would be a bad choice for putting a commercial on because pretty much all the veiewrs of G4 don't actually care if a game is fun to play; they only care if it has good graphics. In my opinion i think Runescape has godly grapghics considering jagex mad it in JAVA but the avarage dimwit who watches G4 doesn't care about what the game was made in as long as it looks like as close to awesome as it can. Rubber chicken, you're the one,who makes Runescape, so much fun!Would be fun if jagex brought in biological warfare... Or even Tesla coils. I like to eat cake while excruciating!
November 24, 200619 yr From Jagex' point of view, yes, i'd say it'd bring in alot more money than they'd spend on it. From player's point of view, hell no, this game is already full enough :wall: I agree. Full of three kinds of people: 1.Idiots 2.Rude players 3.Kind, intellegent players with common sense : to bad the last of the 3 seems to only apear on tip.it and not on other places...
November 24, 200619 yr Uh oh, if Jagex does make a commercial, we'll have to stop worrying about Miniclippers and start worrying about Nickelodean'ers. :P I found the game on Miniclip, stop the stereotyping  ̢̢̮ââ¬Ã¢Ã¢ââ¬Ã

I like Runescape graphics.. They are cool and unique! Actually I don't like games with good graphics at all. All that playing with graphic cards. Wheter you make a game with super awesome graphics or a game Runescape-like :D That didn't make sense at all, did it? :-w Retired ~ "I'll Be Back!" NOT
November 24, 200619 yr Let me think... Nee. Runescape does not need lil kids playing, and if such a commercial was made I go with the iq test to make an account. And the f2p places are pacted enough, I'm a member but I would like to see very little of kids who ask the stupidest questions. My answer to everything is the knowledge base.
November 24, 200619 yr From Jagex' point of view, yes, i'd say it'd bring in alot more money than they'd spend on it. From player's point of view, hell no, this game is already full enough :wall:That's a good point but that would mean they would expand the game faster. It would be bad but at the same time it would be good.

I'm not saying there aren't a few good ones in the bunch. ;) By the way, I still watch Nickelodean. I'm proud of it, too. :D Ranked top 15 in the world for In The Groove. November 25, 200619 yr Also were would they advertise. The game is based in England. But majority of people are in US. Most MMORGP's don't advertises on tv. It is uaally by word of month.

November 25, 200619 yr It's a really bad idea. N00B populations would rise dramatically, little kids would play without any permission, lots of parents and Christians ranting! Alot of people saying that it is satanic or pagan, and that it's bad for children! And, most important of all... think of all the chavs! The horror!!!! :ohnoes: :( :uhh:    rofl anyway i think that if a commercial was made the ammount of players (and also paying members) would rise drammatically, this would be good for jagex, but it will mess up training with all the training spots being incredibly crowded, and filled with noobs with the iq of a cabbage (no offence intended to the members of the ooc) however in the long term this could be good for the economy as it could stop the deflation of items such as whips as more people would want to buy one however this would also (probably) cause the prices of raw materials to go down, making things such as mining and woodcutting a less viable option for money making or alternatively more players would want to go for the 99 capes, raising the cost of raw materials, bringing the cost of finished products even further down
November 26, 200619 yr Well, it could be a good and bad idea, you'll get tons of kids wanting to play. Angry parents or guardians will be furious with the idea of my child playing on a game asking for a "gf/bf" or killing people with satanic or black magic spells. Even getting the idea their child will be changing religions to "3 stupid gods that are just part of a stupid game." As long and Jagex wouldn't advertise on like teletoon or something they should be fine for not getting little 9 year old kids playing. Like, seriously, what 9 year old watches G4tech tv. Maybe get an add on G4 during Attack of the show. Im sure most people who watch it play runescape, such as me. So I like the idea of having smart 14+ people playing the game rather that little toddlers. Also, on the graphics side, I think people should understand why the graphics aren't spectacular because, you can't have Halo3 graphics on a game thats hosted on the internet. Thought of this while reading my paragraph over! If you did a commercial on a child's T.V. program, there could be a possibility of child predators signing up and searching for kids and asking for their personal information. Thats against the rules, but how would a 9 year old understand the rules? I bet he/she couldnt even read. A cautions parent would start supervising their doing on this game, and asking questions about he/she's friend and while watching, and child predator starts talking and BAM! Just like that Jagex is bankrupt and no more Jagex. :uhh: More Tip.it Friends Needed! Feel Free To Add Me\m/ Tip.it's Biggest Metalhead.
November 26, 200619 yr i don't think they should because runescape runescape is just a popular game... i mean its just like any other game you can find on a flash site (except rs is made from java instead of flash)...world of warcraft is an actually game... since you use a disc to install it...
November 26, 200619 yr Uh oh, if Jagex does make a commercial, we'll have to stop worrying about Miniclippers and start worrying about Nickelodean'ers. :P Lol!!!!! November 26, 200619 yr from Jagex's point of view, great idea from a runescape community point of view, we dont need more noobs and 8 year olds :x
