STOP POSTING UNLESS YOU HAVE CC! i know im not innocent myself, but ive changed my ways. It contributes nothing to the topics creater, and nothing to your reputation about these parts ( i should know \ ). Id like to ask mods and admins to delete/suspend anyone who posts in a forum with useless spam instead of valuable CC. 'THEYRE GREAT' is useless. Spammer n00bs!!!11one

So, what if you post a signature you just made, and you want others

 

 

 

to give some CC. If you ask them to do that, most people will do that,

 

 

 

and you ignore the rest (like: theyre great). In that case, you just have

 

 

 

to think: Well, thats not the kind of information I was looking for, but

ok ok, some people may enjoy people telling them theyre the best rather than useful CC which will improve them and make them the best. Ill rephrase my point. Anyone who asks for C.C and not mindless spam like 'PMG U R TEH [email protected] TEEHEE' and gets mindless spam in their topic, the users post could be deleted and maybe a 24 hour temp ban for spam?

praise never hurts anyone, and why is it that whenever someone makes fun of spammers they are always adding tons of exclamation points and using that 1337 speak crap, i honestly have never seen someone talk (type whatever you want to call it) like that on any forum, i think you just use it as an excuse to use 1337 speak yourselves :boohoo:

Well many Gallery visitors aren't art experts or regulars, sometimes they're just RS players or OTers who check this section every so often for a bit of entertainment. These non-artistic viewers like to tell the artist somehow that they liked the work.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If this forum was a GFX only forum, I'd agree that posts should mostly just be CC, but this is for everyone so not everyone may be capable of posting proper CC, but they try to post something nice nonetheless. :)

Well said. I do agree that the RS stoof is a bit out of hand, but many of us don't make RS only art... By the way, you should consider many of the artists on these forums play runescape, and that influences their art. I play alot of WoW, and that influences my art. So, consider you say before you say it.... Thank you

NOt only are lots of people who post on this forum not artists but lots of the time, especially with WIPs, there isn't really that much to c/c at a given point in time. Enjoy the praise, respect the c/c, and question the "my eyes hurt" posts unless they offer anything else. By even posting this you're only reaching the people who actually give c/c in this forum anyways so you're not really solving the problem. :?

Besides, not every poster in The Gallery is some artist or some basic C/Cer, they just have the ocassional visit here as a general rs player.

It makes sense that most pics here are related to RS, this IS an RS fansite forum afterall. Gallery, OT, music/movies are all just side off topic sections that's thrown in for extra. If you wanted to focus on art without RS, I suggest looking for a gfx community outside of Tipit that's not related to an RS forum.

What people should be fed up with is that kind of flaming on threads. If you have a problem with someone, PM them if you really have to tell them something. If you think someone's flaming much, PM a mod or report it please.
