July 3, 200917 yr Author [hide=My rate this w/ pics]So, a while back I set a goal for myself to get three 99s: mage, range, and strength. Today, I finally achieved those goals and trimmed my hitpoints cape at 17.3m xp. I also managed to get 96 summon while still untrimmed; dunno how many have done that, but I'd think I'm in the first five, or at least first 10 to have done so. Mage: - #32,618 to 99 Method: Random stuff to 82, then bursted from 82-94, then barraged 94-99. Cost: 82-94 = ~40M 94-99 = ~50M Range: - #37827 to 99 Method: Chinned from 85. Cost: ~35M. Strength: - #90198 to 99 Method: Slayer for up till around 88ish, then various camping towards 99. Cost: ~5M. Summon: - #3012 to 96 Method: Rock lobsters mostly, with some slayer & charms form camping. Cost: 79-88 = ~25M 88-96 = ~40M. Total cost of everything was about 195M. Also, for your added enjoyment, I have a best of bank taken the day before I got these 99s. If anyone wants, I can post a full bank picture, but I don't know if anyone's interested enough. I pretty much quit in the summer, spending almost all my RS time on private servers, and when I did start getting back into real RS, dungeoneering was released. That was the final straw for me - I truly hate the skill, and I realized I just wasn't having any fun anymore. So I quit. I still haven't got around to canceling my membership, just in case I decide to come back at some point, but I doubt it. I have started playing League of Legends (LoL) and some Steam games lately (add me! Spalns (l = L) is my steam ID... I think?) and quite honestly, they are a lot more fun. If I did decide to come back, however, I would probably go and play a private server, for a few reasons. 1) Jagex has really messed up their game, at least in my opinion. 2) Customer service sucks. Seriously, look at almost any other game, even completely free games, and they have great CS, especially compared to RS> Jagex really is a pretty crappy company, now that I finally have something to compare it to. Now I no longer remember where I was going with this, but oh well.. See you guys around in IRC or some other games sometime, maybe. Was a fun 6 years, thanks for all the memories.
