Friends list sugestion

Featured Replies

Dont you hate it when you type something to the wrong person? And dont you hate it when someone does that to you? This can waste valuble time, and can bring many things to ruin. So now I propose 2 options, lock and respond.

When you lock a friend on your list, all the name on the list becomes one button, message ( name ) so you can hav a conversation with just that person. Should you want to message someone else you have 2 choices: unlock and respond. When you unlock everything goesto normal, if respond you get 1 message to anyone, then regular locking goes to the original person locked.

The second option is conference, it will be added to the panels ( so its not on the friends list menu ). In this mode you get to invite 5 people to a conference. You must type in thier name, or theres an option to take one from your friends list. In a conference anything you type will be heard to all 5- people. You type a message to the conference from the panel and the messages will appear in the panel. This way you can talk to all your friends/buisness partners/auction at the same time, so you dont have to send multiple messsages.

Let me illustrate my idea with some pictures ( I know there bad and the first one doesnt include the conference panel, sorry.

And ofr the conference thing, we could have like mini Tip.It conferences! How cool would that be!

However, I think that it would be better to have the chatbox flick to "Conference" when you join, as it would be easier to read than cramped up in the user interface.

Yeah, I like the conference idea, but I think it is a little too much like Instant Messaging. Jagex wants RuneScape to be a game, not a community. They want the main feature to be fun, not chatting with friends.

Thats not a good sign... Your own topic and you forgot it existed!?

But I think its a pretty good idea, and I would find a use for it. Especially the conference part. I think I will support it.

20 might be too much, maybe a visitor option where a guy can read the conversations, but can't speak in them.

I like your idea. Therefore, I support :).

The fakes could use some redoing. I find it interesting that you thought of something so close to clan chat before it was released.

Looking back on my idea, I feel that the new friends list has the potential to hold this new update.

You mean you want to merge this with Viktorkrum77's thread? If you do mean that, he's banned, so it's unlikely that even a mod would do that.

The fakes could use some redoing, I could redo them for you if you wanted.

Also, I like how the confrence is seperate from the main chat.
