Your name is "bet you fail", and you're starting a business with your mom? I'm not even going to touch that.....

Not allowed :shame:

If you're confident about your looks, it's okay. No doubt about that. If you think you're ugly, you are. Just be confident and you'll be fine.

At least, I think that.

It couldn't be that your friends are just joking around, could it?

If other people, who are not your friends, say you're good-looking, and your friends say you're not...You can kinda' guess that your friends are just being stupid.

Then again, you should know if you are or not. Just look at yourself.

Oh, I forgot to mention that they are not my "friends", I just refer to them like that.

"I am free of all prejudices. I hate every one equally." -W. C. Fields

When I was young someone told me "beauty is in the eye of the beholder." I never put much thought into it but I have recently. I guess what I made out of it is some people may think you're ugly, and others may think you look great. If you think you look great you'll walk with confidence and you'll look better than walking with your head hanging low and your eyes fixed on the ground passing by. Everyone has their own idea of what makes people look good. Personally I have my preferences on what I like best in a girl, but I'm not saying girls who don't meet those are ugly. Don't worry so much about whether you're ugly or not. One day you'll find someone who won't care what you look like physically. If you don't like what you look like physically, change. That's what I did, and I'm happier now. If someone calls me ugly, I know they're not the kind of person I want to spend my life.

I used to think I looked ugly, but lately I've been noticing that there are girls constantly flirting with me when I'm not noticing. Its possibly the same way with you.

think about this though.. i really like this girl. and i think she is gorgeous! simply stunning. i ask a lot of people what they think and almost all of then say she is alright or desent.. when you like someone your opinion of then changes so much!

another example i was talking with these girls and they where talking about how they remeber when they first met this kid they thought he was O.K looking at best, but they got to know him and they all think hes really attractive now.

id say confidence and personalitty is at least 30-40 percent if it..

im consider myself to be ok looking, my freinds say im a 5-6 girls think im good, but i still have confidence issues.. goes to show you how messed up of a society we live it.

yo yo yo yo my homies

most ppl 25+ WILL tell kids they look good, its just good manners. if ur mates say ur ugly and theyre not bein sarcastic, ur ugly.

Im arrogant and obnoxious.

and I look good being that way.

if it's really bothering you, dont listen to everyone saying "just be yourself, and you're beautiful on the inside"

Change your image for a bit, and see if you like it more. Dont change your personality, but the way you look.

Without reading other posts besides the main one, here's my opinion. Friends lie to get your self esteem down so you're not confident. Not being confident causes a chain reaction of you walking with your head down, you feeling low and girls not looking at you, but looking at your confident friend. When I was younger I lacked confidence because my friends did the same thing. Now we're all arrogant because I stopped letting what they said get to me. My advice would be to just be confident no matter what even if they say you're ugly. I didn't get any girlfriends until I became confident.

It's a scientific fact that no parent can possibly find their own child ugly.

unless theyre a cyclopse with blue hair n lepressy and 1 leg ;o

you know there is plenty of middle ground between handsome and ugly, not that many people are blessed with model good looks or for that matter are super ugly either.

The truth is that if you think and act as if you are ugly, then you project that onto other people. as long as you are happy with your appearance, what does it matter?

personally i dont think any of my relatives or anyones would insult them by saying theyre ugly. Ofcourse theyre going to say you look good tey dont want to hurt your feelings.

Yes, I know you all are trying to cheer me up but society is all about looks.

if someone doesn't look good they are unpopular, and doesn't get a girlfriend (which I have a BIG worry about).

Theres no changing that, and thats what I'm worried about...

I beg to differ with that statement. Not all of us women judge men solely on their looks. I know a lot of other people have already said this, but just be confident. Just go out there and strut your stuff like you have something to be proud of, whether you really do or don't :P

You still have to have some looks, would you date someone who's face got burnt and looks weird like that?

Its not the size of the prize, its the motion in the ocean. ::'

Moving on: Parents will of course say you're handsome, but its your self point of view which either takes that as patronizing or as a compliment.

Everyone is beauiful in one way or another. Outside or in. What you think abour yourself is all that matter's. :D

If you've got good self esteem, your looks won't matter. If you believe you look good, you'll have the confidence to get girls, which I'm assuming is the reason for you posting this. They don't care as much about looks as they do confidence/assertiveness.

Well i'm screwed then, I can't even speak infront of my class with out soiling my pants. Oh and if you think that you had the same problem, I swore at the teacher, she understood though.

I think you're ugly, your friends think you're ugly, you're mom thinks you're ugly, everyone thinks you're ugly..

..But God loves you just the way you are
