General Internet immaturity

I've been at this forum five and a half years. The small fish never run out.

Well yes, generally because the small fish do stupid things and eat something poisonous and leave but the big fish are smart and avoid them so they can grow.

After being on IRC today and hearing someone say "your mom" when I was being serious... and from someone that it seemed like it was below them to say something as stupid and old as that, I wondered why people that are normally very intelligent would do such stupid things on the internet.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sometimes when people are mad, they say "Your mom". Its somwtimes common.

Unfortunatly this community is home to a majority of younger children rather than those who have actually matured. I know I can be immature at times but for the most part I try to hold to my own standards. I can handle a little bit of immaturity around here but when we're on a serious topic I hate having someone try to make jokes in the middle of it. It always causes a flame war.

 

 

 

Or a locked topic :roll: Nods at my vanity topic. Immaturity ruined my topic. I wanted a serious topic about what could be a problem, yet most of the people who repied were just immature and made predictable jokes, hence the lock. I'm kinda sick of immature posters who just think that every thread is an opportunity for them to make a joke. There's a whole FORUM dedicated to jokes and "fun" things. They could let off all their immaturity there and come and make constructive posts, but they don't. It just annoys me when a topic has potential and is ruined by a few immature people wanting a quick chuckle.

Pfft, as if we could evolve that far as to actually leave to "land." The big fish are stuck in this sea forever. ;)

 

 

 

And big fish tend to have long lifespans. Little fish are born and die quickly, but the big fish are the top of the sea's foodchain. :P
