There can be a balance of immaturity and Maturity. When a real topic comes up and need compleat seriousness on the topic, thats a time to be mature. But with these "Get to know fellow Tip.iters" lately, i feel it is a time to be less mature, and just sit back and relax. Who cares about some spam or some randomness, doesn't hurt anyone. Just keep it fun :D

I might be back and check this post in a month or whenever I decide I've built up enough mental defenses to journey into the sludge again.

Why do you think it's lost maturity? Because people like you that are close to being "mature" declare themselves superior and leave.

Agreed. Instead of jumping ship because you think you can't deal with this 'new wave of idiots,' point out their immaturity and they'll either change their ways or just feel too ostracized and leave. Unless you're talking about regulars - in which case, I have noticed a few people have been posting replies that are meant to be as jokes but just come off spammy and idiotic.

I wish some of these drama queens would just stop making topics; they are really beginning to annoy me.

But seriously, Runesmithie, get over it. If you think people are too immature, then be mature yourself. Maybe you'll rub off on people. If you're not mature enough to try to fix what you perceive as a problem, then stop complaining.

Indeed. Stay here and be a big fish in a small pool. You always win when you're arguing with an idiot.

I've felt TIF has been falling down this slippery slope faster than usual lately, so I've decided to put tip.it in my hosts file and take a break... if this post seems very scattered, that's because I'm writing it in lynx on the computer that doesn't have TIF blocked. Heedless to say, lynx isn't very fun to compose a post with ;)

No, TIF is the same as it has always been if not better, Flaming, stupid insults, ect its always been around, and always will, though some people should be able to control themselves.

It seems these forums are a bit more unified than they were about a year ago.

I have to agree here. Topics like those have been popping up quite a bit and I've been enjoying them. They don't make me feel as smart as I'd like but they give a different sense of pleasure. ::'

But when you argue with an idiot, they get cocky about things they know absolutely nothing about. Even when you win they're still cocky and it's not as satisfying as winning against an intellectual. But I would stay here no matter how many morons started popping in and acting like they own the place. Being a big fish in a small pool is better than being a fish on a boat..

Actually I think what he's getting at is some people claim to be better than the rest of us when the decide to leave the forums.

It seems like half the people in here don't know what maturity is first of all.

Maturity is not an epiphenomenon of age which is easy to prove...I can easily point out a 60 year old idiot whose never grown out of their diapers.

Maturity also shouldn't be based on how one acts online, but their base character as a whole.

You could argue that their actions are a result of their base character, but I act idiotic all the time. I don't necessarily think I'm an immature or mature person, and I know when to get serious and when to act stupid and that's what matters most.

People that are neglected and decide to be annoying on the internet. They say stupid stuff and make themselves look like morons. They don't mean to be "donkey's" to other people, but they just can't help themselves.

So they are not really immature, just annoying.

Training my pure!

They spawn at a far faster rate than the large fish ever will. :anxious:

Well yes, generally because the small fish do stupid things and eat something poisonous and leave but the big fish are smart and avoid them so they can grow.
