Personally I think he is still alive and my friend (can't name names :x) and he thinks he's dead. What do you guys think? For god's sake, he isn't some sort of god or super hero who can withstand multiple bullets to his torso (Not to mention nads, he did get shot there) and then escape from civilization and then stay in hiding without anybody finding him for what? 15 years?
