it's funny, I had so much free time today :lol: . I called some of my friends to try to go some places but nobody is home, so I just ran some errands that i am usually reluctant to do (go to the tanning bed, get some new guitar strings) I think I'm going to pick up my guitar lessons again to fill some time and go to six flags some this summer. This will be fun :D .

 

 

 

on a side note, microsoft extended the warrently to 3 years (around that) for the xbox 360 due to the "3 rings of death" problem. It's become really severe and the company has lost around 1 billion $'s on it so far. Hopefully they will get busy fixing the problem, but in the mean time I get my xbox 360 repaired for free . xbox games dont cause me any trouble so if anybody wants to play with me I'll be on there a fair bit I'm sure. my name is "wakka102" on there so just send me a message and if i'm on send me a chat request, I'd be glad to talk to you :D

because these people are not in my neighborhood lol, theres really not that many people in my neighborhood so I'm not concerned about that but the few kids that live there don't even know I still live here, accept for my neighbor and his girlfriend but there my friends.

I never thought I'd hear myself say this, but it's time to throw in the towel.

 

 

 

I've talked it over with my mom and I've finally come to a realization of how addicting this game really is. People in my neighborhood have labeled me as being completely antisocial, I don't know how to communicate with people well, and the amount of time I spend playing takes up too much of my life. This game is a drug, and just like any other drug it causes problems to those around you. I've also begun to see this gaming habit in my brother. He plays Warcraft 3 online and he is only 8 years old, however he often neglects to go to places that would seem lots of fun to any 8 year old. Examples being the movies, or white water, or six flags. I don't want this fate for me or my brother so I've decided to kick the habit completely.

 

I only have this problem with online games so I will still use my xbox 360 when I get some free time, my username is "wakka102" on there. I will still get on tif to post sometimes and stay in touch with friends. I will be keeping everything I have in my bank as well as selling the remainder of the nature runes I've made bringing me to about 40-45m which I'll place into rares.

 

I may return someday when I can better cope with the amount of time spent playing, but there is a history of addicts in my family to various things and I unfortunately have picked up the gene. I love all my friends here and hope that you're lives are all wonderful and fulfilling.

Yay! Another one has finally came to his/her senses!

 

 

 

You reminded me of what I USED to be like. I used to pass up opportunities for fun and spent my time on this damned game. I quit, and I don't plan on ever coming back.

 

 

 

I'm repulsed by my old self and changed myself personality-wise, social-wise, and even my physical appearance. I sound like a different person now and I even look like a different person.

 

 

 

I changed my profile picture on Facebook after the change and then got a friend to look at the picture and he was amazed. I used to be average (sexual appeal) and then after the change many girls think I'm hot. My life is WAY better than it used to be and I enjoy it more, although I feel crushed by the pressure of the world on me - sometimes.

 

 

 

Enjoy the new changes. If you were overweight, lose weight. Do anything you have to in order to make yourself feel good. Go to dances and any social event and meet new people, perhaps get a few girls talk about how "cute" you are, and just (like I said) live life to the fullest and stay the hell away from any MMO. I was kind of worried about you for a while because of your massive RS goal of all 99 - countless hours spent on a single game and almost no time at all for social reasons.

-listen to music (usually by watching music videos on YouTube)

 

-Facebook

 

-off-topic on TIF

 

 

 

(Can sometimes take a few hours, BUT I always take up opportunities to do things with friends, youth group, or just to go some place to mess around. If I'm doing neither, I'm probably exercising or taking a short nap. On some days if I'm doing neither of the above, the music fills in the void. That can be for several hours! BUT I don't spend it all at once, I'll listen for a while and then just mess around the house or just take a walk.)

After putting so much time into a character, I am very impressed by your maturity that you can recognise what it is doing to your life and taking steps to change it. This is the first step to you controlling the game rather than the game controlling you.

 

 

 

Once you are 'addicted' to real life, you may be ready to come back to RuneScape every so often.

 

 

 

Good luck ... and don't get addicted to the 360! The risk is still there!! Since it's broken, that might be a blessing to you so you won't immediately go onto that, but from the sounds of it, you're on the up.

I've never had problems with console games in the past, its simply the MMORPG's

I'll never forget this game since I pretty much browse tif once a day lol. I enjoyed every second of it (accept the alching :P ).

 

 

 

 

 

Hopefully one day I can come back to this game with a better real life to Runescape balance. But for now I need a long holiday.
