falconice
Aw... I really wanted to play but whenever I try to play the game, the exe opens for 5 secs and then closes. AND I'M CONFUSED!!!!!!!! So yeah, do I have to turn off a certain firewall or something cause it's not working. Like I can press the "start" button and the window opens and the cursor changes, but 5 seconds later it closes.
Shin
Is this a rpg? I'm registering right now.
BlueLancer
I'm very confused. :P I got about 37% xp and started the Shaolin Mountain quest, but have absolutely no idea where to go. The combat system was also a slight disappointment, it's exactly similar to WoW and Lineage. Hopefully it will improve when you get awesome martial art skills, spiritual advance and/or weapons 8-)
unknownmasterofnothing
Bleh so its a rpg, you just mentioned it was a MMO. I was hoping it was more of a action/adventure type of control, kinda like zelda or at least like phantasy star online.
Faux
The only thing I grew to dislike about MMORPGs now is that they depend mostly on your amount of time to play (earn money, train) rather than actual skills. :-$ :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
Nadril
Ok, question. What server is OC4? I think i'm going to give the game a shot [heard about open PvP servers!] but I'm not sure if thats one of them or not ;p. edit: so, I tried it out with my friend. We started in the Shaolin area. Well, we get ploped in the middle and are completly clueless. Finaly, we find a quest. We go do it, kill a fox [woohoo?] and turn it in. After that we decided to look around a bit. Found the mobs in the area around our level and started to kill them. Combat , at least the begining combat, is slow as hell. Not to mention that we were killing what looked like... not straight guys, and we were punching 'em right where it hurts. Anyways, can't say I was impressed. Maybe I've just grown out of having fun with the 'ole korean grindgame model, but it was incredibly boring, although we did get a few laughs. [The water in the game looks like liquid mercury, for example]. Eh, still have it on my hard drive though. They really need to ramp up the begining areas, because right now I have no reason to be bored to death in the begining to get to a bit of fun, only to hit a huge grind wall. [i've heard that around level 200ish you start getting .00000001% per kill or something rediculous like that].

[i've heard that around level 200ish you start getting .00000001% per kill or something rediculous like that]. There's only one server, silly. :P OC4 means i'm currently at Opening Chi Cheng 4. Yes the beginning is quite a clueless time, I spent about 15 minutes getting the controls and such before I dared fight anything. The beginning is no way the same as throughout, damage for the beginning fights you'll be doing 7~15 damage with a single strike, at the moment I do 2 strikes and each one does ~80. Yeah the scamps and things look really freaky... almost... familiar. I guess you might be more adjusted to better, P2P games though. :P I myself have never played Guild wars, Lineage, WoW so I don't know what they're like. But level 200 is aaaagggeeees away, i've played for about 3 days so far and i'm only at where I am now. If you want to get the best experience out of this game - party. I don't know why, it just brings out the best in the game. But they should really sort out a tutorial beforehand.

Razz I myself have never played Guild wars, Lineage, WoW so I don't know what they're like. Yeah I'm a bit more adjusted to the likes of them. The bigest thing they could do to improve this game is to improve the begining area.
Shin
Cads, power train me. I don't feel like training at all. I'm Shinjite by the way. So just party with me and we'll go to a dungeon or map that will give me 5 levels for each kill.
Sp4de
Game is freakin' crap, my god. I've seen more entertaining things in a toilet. ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâï(̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâú_o)/̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâï

Markkei
I play, or would be playing if my desktop's harddrive didn't just fail a few days ago. Once I get a new desktop (should be soon) or figure out how to play it on my laptop will I start playing again. Otherwise, 9 Dragons isn't a bad game. What keeps me entertained the most is the atmosphere of the game and the prospect of huge clan wars and hopefully intense boss raids. I also like how you can fight alongside with other clans; the game's pretty diverse in this aspect. Grinding doesn't become that bad until lvl 40+, but sometimes I'm grateful for it since the chance of item drops is so low. Lag is basically nonexistent where it matters. Even so, as it's in "pre-open beta," there are lots of bugs in both quests and even the combat system. Hopefully they'll sort most of these soon, if not at the release of the true open beta. In which they say they will definitely not perform another character wipe. Anyway, my character's name is Keita, currently Raising Light 2. I'll try to be back online as soon as I can, hope to see you there :)
warri0r45
Ok, i need some help with a problem. I have dowloaded and installed it and have registered an logged in, no problems there. The problem is when I click 'start' to launch the game a 'hacking prevention system' shows up for a little while then it goes away and a black screen comes up with the cursor changed, after about 15 seconds, it just closes itself. Any ideas?

Any ideas? Do you have a hidden program running such as xFire/MSN ? Or any program that accesses the internet at the same time? I have to close MSN when I log off, but Trillian works fine. :? I had this problem for a while and it was pretty simple to fix, just update my drivers for my video card and stuff. But as of this moment the servers are apparently down, and so are the forums, at least for me. Well gl trying to play I guess...
