Question (video games)

Featured Replies

I am considering buying a Wii sometime. However, the setback for me is the games. Right now the only good game people talk about (besides Wii Sports, which is included), is the Zelda game. I have never played any zelda games previously, so do you guys think I would still enjoy it?

Now, another reason for not buying a Wii is its lack of star wars games. I'm a big fan of star wars games and lord of the rings games, and that kind of stuff rather than FPS, but it seems like there is a lack of those due out for Wii. Of cource Smash Brothers 3 and Mario Galaxy will probably still be good.

My other option would be an Xbox 360, but i'm leaning away from that because I have an xBox, but not a Gamecube. If I got a Wii, I could play all the Gamecube games I missed out on.

So, Xbox 360 or Nintendo Wii or none? (PS3 is out of the question).

I'd say Wii.

More games will come out later on.

As much as I wanted to get a Wii, I realized I'd only be playing it for zelda and then I'd hop back on my PC. The 360 is building up a strong lineup, however, if you don't have a very powerful PC.

Wii, there are lots of good games on the way. You forgot about Metroid, if you like that.

Supermonk, proving you wrong since 1992.

Supermonk rocks, I want to have his children.

Music is like candy. You always get rid of the rapper.

ha I've played the original first ever metroid game on a NES emulator. Other than that, I havn't played much, but the one for Wii does look pretty cool.

I think Wii Sports and Zelda should keep you pretty busy until some more games come up. Wii Sports for the multi-player, Zelda for single player.

I'd like to get one, but alas, I still can't find a Wii anywhere.

The code in my sig should say 1032 not 0132.

The Wii just launched. How can you already expect all of those kinds of games? Just know that when that star wars game finally comes out, you'll have the most fun on the wii, swinging your wiimote around with the sounds coming out of its speaker. And LOTR battles, using a bow and arrow wiimote aiming, shooting orcs and swordfighting with the wiimote.

To Zelda - I think you would enjoy it. You don't need to know any previous storyline to love the game. It's just a really fun game without that deep a storyline to follow. Most people who like a challenge will love this game.

If not just for the old gamecube games, get it for the future of what the wii has to offer. You can play star wars or lotr with a regular controller, or in a few months you can play it like you're really there. :)

Dont get a Wii now, ive been to 30 differen't stores in the past 4 days trying to get one :ohnoes:

Well see that is what I'm not so sure about. I've looked into upcoming games that I like, and they seem restricted to the 360. There is some star wars game due out sometime in 07, but its for 360 and PS3 only. Star Trek: Legacy, 360 only, Lord of the Rings: White Council, due out 07, for 360 and PS3 only. What is going on here?

and just so you guys know i don't like these because of the franchise so much. The main reason I like star wars games is because they are like FPS, only in 3rd person, same with lotr except with swords and stuff. If you guys have any other suggestions, I also like RPGs and strategy, like Rome: Total War and SimCity, but I doubt those are on consoles.

Wii is still a fairly new system, so there are probably more games on the way. I think Zelda should keep you busy until more games that you like come out.

Wii. Zelda is amazing, and the Wii sports is very entertaining and fun to play. Elebits and Excitetruck are both fun as well. :anxious:

Definitely get a wii. Zelda is an awesome game. I hadn't played a 3d zelda before and I thought it would be boring, but its not. Theres somethign new and exciting to do at everyone point. And if you have any siblings, the virtual console is very fun with games like bomberman, gunstar heroes.

The Wii's are quit good, I have played the X-Box 360 and the Wii, and I enjoyed the Wii much more.
