Yes, I'm trying to hold the bottom pixel line as the same in template, but I think I have to cut my image, and move it more to the top and so on.

:uhh: i wasnt trying to offend you or something. i was just trying to say that the transition between the shades on the skin are a bit ovious, and that just kinda stood out for me...

i liked that look it made it look like a wood texture rather than a soft skin texture, IMO

dithering isnt a style, its a tecneque... her saying she wont dither is like me saying i wont use aa. its not nessacary, but its stupid and pointless not to when your picture looks that much better if i did...

yes it's a technique, so it's optional, some pieces of work look better with it others don't, but still that comes into opinion, although you see that sue's work needs dithering, (s)he (sorry don't know what you are) doesn't think so...

Nice idea, saw something like this on dA.

 

 

 

Looking good so far, but the totem pole itself (background) doesn't have enough colors. It's 5-6 shades of brown and that's it.

 

 

 

I say photoshop/dither it so it's more smooth.
