January 12, 200719 yr Got my iMac now. And I got it, since I work alot with graphic art etc blaa. With Photoshop CS2, Painter IX.5 and so on. Now I just have to get used to Mac. Not trying to intervine but I never understood why people got a mac for that whenever their PC can do the same thing. But non-the-less gratz on it.
January 12, 200719 yr Not trying to intervine but I never understood why people got a mac for that whenever their PC can do the same thing. Some people like the simplicity of Macs. For example, my dad got my mum a Mac so he wasn't constantly having to fix her machine when she did something wrong.

Easy to answer, Mac doesn̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâôt eat up all the ram like Windows for example do:p So I can run Photoshop and Painter, without the whole thing crashing.
January 12, 200719 yr http://www.apple.com/getamac/ads/ <- that's why people buy macs :D That being said, I use Windows and have done all my life. Where the bloody hell are you?
January 12, 200719 yr Author http://www.apple.com/getamac/ads/ <- that's why people buy macs :D That being said, I use Windows and have done all my life. Is not the reason I bought me a Mac. Or whatever the ad was.
January 12, 200719 yr Open office is a replacement/subsitution for microsoft office http://www.openoffice.org/ :) It certainly is. I completely prefer it over Microsoft office. If you're worried about compatibility with your other .docs, Open Office opens them and allows you to save them in that format. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
January 12, 200719 yr Me too! I need to set up my paypal so i can't donate $5 considering they saved me $90 :

January 18, 200719 yr Good thing about macs is you can have 2 OS: Mac OS X and Windows XP. Go to the apple website and search for a programme called 'Bootcamp', it'll allow you to install windows xp if your that desperate - so you can swap between the two OS'. Ive had a mac, but I just can't get used to it. i much prefer Win xp.
January 18, 200719 yr Macs are just as good as Windows, as long as you don't mind not being able to run a few programs. They're not hard to use... - Np Tyler
