Recommended Posts

Right, so I have ordered me a nice white iMac,

So was the small problem, I'm a Windows user, is there anyone with experience with Mac that can help me out, or point me out to any good sites? :P

Edit: God, I feel me like a nub. O.O

Firefox I use always,

Thunderbird might be a good idea.

Parallels and open office? Tell me more please :P

Thanks anyway (:

this allows you to run windows (or ANY other Operating system) alongside your mac.. its.. a virtual machine.. and it works pretty good even in beta

Open office is a replacement/subsitution for microsoft office

Not trying to intervine but I never understood why people got a mac for that whenever their PC can do the same thing.

But non-the-less gratz on it.

Some people like the simplicity of Macs. For example, my dad got my mum a Mac so he wasn't constantly having to fix her machine when she did something wrong.

Easy to answer, Mac doesn̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâôt eat up all the ram like Windows for example do:p

So I can run Photoshop and Painter, without the whole thing crashing.

It certainly is. I completely prefer it over Microsoft office. If you're worried about compatibility with your other .docs, Open Office opens them and allows you to save them in that format.

All I can say is...

Mac is good for graphics and sounds. That's it. Otherwise, DIE MAC DIE! I will always have Windows as my main OS.

That comment was not needed.

Good thing about macs is you can have 2 OS: Mac OS X and Windows XP. Go to the apple website and search for a programme called 'Bootcamp', it'll allow you to install windows xp if your that desperate - so you can swap between the two OS'.

Ive had a mac, but I just can't get used to it. i much prefer Win xp.
