henk333
I did some additional thinking on the monster to drop the marble blocks and gold leafs. Since you want them in a high level monster, why not make it a little tougher then the usual ones. I'm thinking a big guy, on two feet like the dag kings or troll generals, wielding a marble block as a club, able to deliver massive crushing damage. As a bonus you could give it a secondary attack: gold leaf ninja stars, which would be range attack based. You could even make those poisonous :P Drops would include both marble blocks and gold leaf, with the leaf two or three times more often then the marble. As for a location, it would have to be near a city because that's what construction is all about. Falador is a widely used city, maybe it could be right out the north gate to the east. There's not much going on in that area, but it's fairly close to a bank. The area might be a bit tight because of the city walls and the mountain ridge, but the guild could be divided into several floors and the high level monster put underground (why is it that high level monsters sound more convincing when they're put into a dungeon instead of just freely wandering the world. Hmm, no idea :-k ). Anyways, here's a picture: Haven't played RuneScape since 12 january 2007 and it feels great :)
Harrington
Thanks for that henk333. While I'm seriously considering using other monsters in the guild, I'm not a very good graphic artist and don't have the skill to draw up a whole new creature. Although I may switch to something like an Ent. In terms of location, I like your suggestion of Fally... seems to be a bit more room there. However, I would place it futher East as we can't have it too close to a bank.
One Too Far
* Stone Mason in the guild who sells slightly cheaper supplies * Estate Agen in the guild? * Larger monster area with more dragons. * Should the sawtable experience go towards woodcutting or construction? * Should the minimum requirements for using the tablesaw be increased? * Seaweed spawn for glassmaking? * Alternative monsters to dragons (perhaps Ents or something...) i vote yes on al of these and i would also say ents and conxp
Doughnut
The Ents could even be a slayer monster.(requirements 45 slayer and firemaking) It would be like a gargoyle and you would finish it with a lighted torch. Just my two cents. :-# "A time comes when silence is betrayal" MLKJ Speak your mind, but be civil.Get mad, but do not rage.Do unto others as you would want done to yourself. adon1
you should make a picture with a link to this thread to raise awareness about it something catchy... i'll work on one now and post it if i make a good enough one EDIT: have just made a possible one, here it is btw the "click here to get more for your money" refers to the amount you have to pay to get 60 construction and the xp you'll get from the tablesaw but i could change it if you want... hope you like \ here's a few more i just made I support jerk173 going for 99fish and cook! Harrington
Thanks for all the feedback so far guys. I'm going to redesign the guild to include a few of the things suggested. Most notably; * A tree zone where there's a very high chance of being attacked by an Ent (whose drops will include certain construction items) * I will remove Marble Dragons and dedicate that particular zone to Golden/Violet dragons (mainly due to people liking the new hides and dragon head so much) * Guild will be relocated * Guild will be built on a coast line so that we can have seaweed spawns. Please give me a few days to create these new concepts :)
nacfan
yo still looks nice, maybe one little change: change the violet dragonhide armor into the color from the hide itself (so its a bit darker, i think that looks better) ^click to visit my blog! Brenman94
Support! Even though I don't train cconstruction, this would be hardcore! It would make those who like the skill feel a it more welcome. \
Harrington
Mountable dragon head drop added. Still to do... (replace marble dragon with Ent, move guild to coastline for seaweed spawns, expand and reshape guild to accomodate new tree cutting area.) Celestrana
I like the idea of a Construction Guild but don't place it near Falador. Falador already has the Crafting Guild on its doorstep and Mining Guild inside the city. I think Ardougne location is an alright idea. Perhaps put a mini-game in the Con Guild as an effort to help King Luthas rebuild West Ardougne. Mini-game idea can be repairing buildings, making flatpack furniture etc for "Construction Tickets" that you can trade for construction supplies. Perhaps these "Construction Tickets" can be traded for Plank bank notes or bank notes for other materials, that way they're stackable. The mini-game can sorta be like the Wizard Training mini-game. Get points/tickets and use these points/tickets to buy more materials for the game or trade for the bank notes. I know, it's totally off topic but somebody mentioned the mini-game and I felt I had to put it here instead of starting a new thread. Harrington
New monster added.... the Tree Ent!!! Due to popular request, the Tree Ent has replaced the Marble Dragon. The Tree Ent is triggered by attempting to cut wood from the various trees inside the guild. (yet to be added to map) Celestrana... thanks for the support and suggestion. Others have mentioned the inclusion of a mini-game, that however is a whole new suggestion and would require an enormous amount of work. What I may do however, is add a mini-game icon for future development.

Harrington
love the ideas but 2 problems 1) anyone think we're adding a bit too much? :-k 2) whats with the seaweed spawns? :-s Yeah, it's a pretty big guild in terms of its content. But would you agree that most of the othe guilds are a bit rubbish because they simply don't have enough to make them worthwhile? It's difficult to strike a balance between a great guild and something that doesn't unbalance the game. I feel that since Construction is such an expensive skill, it's only fair to have a fantastic guild to enjoy for all your efforts. Rest assured that nothing else is being added.... just gonna tweak what's already there. Off Topic: It's been bothering me Harrington, and I need to ask. Is that avatar a Cylon Centurion? LOL yer, it's a cylon :) love that show

Hevendor_Guy
Support, but I think the dragons should be down in the basement or something. Just fits better. That back-yardish area could be for cutting wood, should probably have like 10 normal 5 oak 2 teak 1 mahogany, and you should be able to make planks in the guild (if you said that and I missed it then sorry), and of course with that capability there should be a bank. Other than that I like it. There's cake through here, apparently.

If there was a bank and plank cutting within a few steps, then construction prices would collapse. I don't want that. So I'm sorry, but there won't be a bank. I am thinking about moving the dragons though. Thanks I really like this idea but is their an upstairs to this awesome guild? drapit
I dont think dragons or range armour should associate itself with the skill construction. They dont mix well. I'd rather a small workshop which gives u free planks, saw, hammer and other construction things.
BloodfleshX
I like the idea. Maybe you could add a new tele spell (in Lunar spellbook maybe?) that teleports you to the guild, and add the option of putting it in your house teleport room. The main problem with it is the place it's at. It cuts off an exit from Ardougne and forces you take take a detour to the Necromancers Tower. I'd say put it East of Rellekka where there's a bit more space. I'm also wondering how dragons are relevant to Construction? :-s :-k
