Guest Posted January 15, 2007 Share Posted January 15, 2007 Heya, For something different apart from the constant questions on Tech and Computers, I've got a simple question. What is the one program out there which you would say is your favourite. It could be because you use it the most. It could be because it's the only one out there of its type and its so important for your everyday needs on a computer. Or it could even be because it keeps your computer running smoothly from day to day (such as a virus protection software). Though there's one exception - I'd like this topic to not include Computer Games. And once you have told me your favorite software program, just briefly describe it and why you like it so much and even give a link to where you can download it from. For me it's CCleaner as its a great tool for getting all the crap off my computer to make Windows run a lot quicker and more efficiently. Then it's probably Firefox, I can live without it, I just feel more secure and more relaxed using it. I could live without WMP, I has an mp3 player. How ever saying that i enjoy making my own programs as it is alot more rewarding using something i have done. Listed in no specific order.. * OpenOffice - Free and Powerful, more smooth design than MS Office, AND IT'S FREE! * Mozilla Firefox - Very good security and easy to get a personal look, AND IT'S FREE! * Kaspersky Anti-Virus - Locates nearly all viruses, frequent updates. * Winamp - Low Memory-Usage and small interface, and it's FREE! * mIRC - Powerful IRC-program. * VLC - Plays nearly every video-type you can think off, and it's FREE! * IZArc - File packing program, can open all kind of file-packages, also FREE!
