February 2, 200719 yr It's a box with wires hanging out placed in crowded places. Could be a LiteBrite, could be a freaking Anthrax bomb. The motivation behind the device was to attract attention as if the box was a bomb. If they wanted to do normal advertising, they would have used bumper stickers on public works or graffiti tags or something. Regardless, they still have to pay the price. February 2, 200719 yr Opie and Anthony were all over this today. :XD: My favorite caller had to be this guy: "Our mayor needs to stop watching batman, only the Joker would make a bomb out of a lightbrite" It cracked me up when I heard him say that. "A time comes when silence is betrayal" MLKJ Speak your mind, but be civil.Get mad, but do not rage.Do unto others as you would want done to yourself. February 2, 200719 yr Those two idiots may have gotten out on bail, but they still have a trial to go to. And the courts are not going to be happy about their comments. Hope they enjoy footing the $750,000 bill. For the love of God Barihawk, all they did was do what their bosses told them to do, which was put up frikking litebrights around the city. LITRBRITES. The overreaction of the Boston police is to blame, not some normal people doing their jobs, again, putting up litebrites. [if you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.] Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.

You had to open the bloody boxes to see the little alien guy giving you the finger! The Boston Police were DOING THEIR JOBS! Hundreds of people die every day from improvised bombs. Can you blame Boston for making a big deal out of this? My heart is broken by the terrible loss I have sustained in my old friends and companions and my poor soldiers. February 2, 200719 yr i think the whole thing is funny, I just wish that i went and looked from one in Seattle.
February 2, 200719 yr Author The Boston Police were DOING THEIR JOBS! Hundreds of people die every day from improvised bombs. Can you blame Boston for making a big deal out of this? No...But you can blame the media for their "Up to the second" reporting of the (not so) mysterious packages. And Boston prematurely activating a code red terrorist alert. Apparently, the Bomb Squad has had to close down major roads and cordon off entire sections of the city to deal with the Mysterious Mooninite Devices. The traffic grid in Boston? Absolute chaos. And up until an hour ago, Adult Swim (through Turner Broadcast) hadn't even bothered to inform the city where all of the Mooninite bundles were located.
February 2, 200719 yr Ok, you have a suspected bomb threat. Why wouldn't you close off roads and cordon away the area? The police did nothing wrong. They did it by the book. February 2, 200719 yr Whether the city of Boston overreacted or not, those two twits who did it should have just apologized and acknowledge what they did, not act like [wagon] in front of the cameras. Gamertag: King Arizona
February 2, 200719 yr Author Whether the city of Boston overreacted or not, those two twits who did it should have just apologized and acknowledge what they did, not act like [wagon] in front of the cameras. Whatever. Here in Boston the media coverage was intense and stupid. I'm tired of fake terrorist alerts. The government created the terrorists, and now they create the alerts. I don't want to see code red flashing on my TV every time some hippy glues a lite-brite to a bridge.

You had to open the bloody boxes to see the little alien guy giving you the finger! The Boston Police were DOING THEIR JOBS! Hundreds of people die every day from improvised bombs. Can you blame Boston for making a big deal out of this? I'm not saying that the Boston Police didn't do the right thing (it was the safest thing after all, some unknown device that's pointing the middle finger at you probably isn't a good item to be around...), I'm saying it'd be stupid to take legal action against a few guys who were just doing their jobs, putting up litebrites for advertisement. Blame the guys who thought up the idea, partly blame the police, but don't blame the guys who were told to put up litebrites by their superiors. Overall, the guys who thought up the advertisement idea were possible a little too arrogant in their opinion of how well known the show was. rocketman, to be honest, if I was in one of those guys' situation I would have acted like an [wagon] in front of the people accusing me too  . February 2, 200719 yr Regardless, their behavior in and out of court is not going to help them at all. Unless Cartoon Network or Turner comes out and takes responsibility. February 2, 200719 yr What the heck does a youtube link have to do with that? I'm 21. Give me links to press conferences or official statements. Not some silly video. February 2, 200719 yr Unless Cartoon Network or Turner comes out and takes responsibility. http://youtube.com/watch?v=4G-D0F4Q9yk Holy crap. That video has goten another 10 honors in approx. 3 hours. Is that a record or something? [if you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.] Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.
February 2, 200719 yr Author I already linked to a video of a press conference and a news article with many official statements. I believe that the official statements are crap, and that my local government crapped up. Hence, the satirical video, which also contains clips of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, for those not familiar.
February 2, 200719 yr When I heard about this yesterday, I was laughing. When I heard today about how much of a stink it caused, and how no one at Cartoon Network is taking it seriously, and how they are royally sticking it to the man, it became like my favorite thing of the month. That shows ratings are going to skyrocket.
February 2, 200719 yr Don't like the show, and have no idea what's going on. It's really just a ridiculous marketing stunt, with not much (yet) to relate it with the show. Which of course is awesome. The suspects gave an interview with Fox news. The media is still reporting it in such an alarmist way. Seriously, shows how uptight people are. The publicity stunt is... Is... To get everyone to watch it now cause it's on the news!!! HAHAHA!!! Genius! Oh, and to add... I Wore my Mooninite T-Shirt today, and only ONE of my teachers made a comment about it. "Are those the characters from the bomb threat in Boston?" Looooool. I've had this shirt since Freshmen Year! (Highschool, now a Senior) hahaha. The whole thing made me giggle :D Wolfy is Officially Retired.I miss you all (Well, mostly my friends n stuff)If you want to talk to me, send me a message, I check the boards daily. :D
February 2, 200719 yr Author Made even more hilarious by how much the media is skewing it out of proportion, and hating on the perpetrators. This Boston Herald article was particularly entertaining.
February 2, 200719 yr This is simply the result of years fear-mongering on behalf of the government. They've got everyone so afraid that they will panic over nothing. I know the price. I pay it gladly.
February 2, 200719 yr Maybe the people at Turner broadcasting planned this whole bomb fiasco thing out from the very beginning as a way to get an extreme amount of advertising... :-k . Abuse of human idiocy and ignorance, great way to advertise :D . [if you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.] Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.

February 2, 200719 yr *Media* - Are you taking this seriously????? *The two guys* *Laughing there ***** off* Ummm yeah... Of course we're taking this seriously. Got to love the balls these guys have. "A time comes when silence is betrayal" MLKJ Speak your mind, but be civil.Get mad, but do not rage.Do unto others as you would want done to yourself. February 2, 200719 yr FYI, the Kazon guy from Star Trek hasn't taken a bath in his life, and his hair looks cleaner then the idiot's hair. February 2, 200719 yr Being a Boston resident (and an Aqua Teen Hunger Force fan) I can safely say that this doesn't make me angry...it actually strikes me as a brilliant marketing tool. When I read it in the newspaper this morning, I was literally laughing my [wagon] off on the Red Line. It was just so amusing seeing the artists laughing during their arraignment, and, how cautious the City of Boston has become. I tell the truth even when I lie.
