darkmage099
I beleive God wants me to kill people who don't beleive in God! By your standards I am able to do so, because i really beleive this is what he wants. Owned, darkmage. :P It amazes me how incredibly ignorant people are to not understand the meaning of the word "believe". It isn't word for word. It is the message. By the way, I am not Christian. And what exactly do you mean by this? Some people actually do believe the bible is the literal, unedited word of god. On point one, by all means, Satenza, go ahead and kill people if you want. I mean if that is your religion. But that does not override the law. By that, I mean that because God did not write it, does not mean it is false. They still believe it is God's message, right? sychospy
Sorry i took my time to answer, i forgot about the thread. Why to reproduce, because it's something programed on our animal part of brain called instinct. And keeping the race alive has no point, why should it have one? it's an instinct, the supervivence instinct. netron28
We were discussing these questions in one of my classes, and I thought it would be interesting if the Tip.it community would give their opinions. I am interested especially in the answers of the atheists because my answers came down to my faith. 1. Who are you?---Not your name or subjective opinions about you. Who are you? 2. What are you doing here?---Not at the computer. On Earth. What is the point of you living? Wont there always be someone to take your place? 3. What is your purpose?---This question is linked to number 2. Pretend there is a man behind you shouting "WHY" after everything you say. Look as deep as you can. I will reveal my answers later. Post yours! Remember, look as deep inside you as you can. TAKE A GUESS BECAUSE NONE OF US KNOW FOR SURE! 1. I am a musician, and a spiritual person. I have faith that if you want things to work out (anything, be it a difficult situation, or just wanting to get on the football team) then they will. 2. I am here to help people. (I know what to say, and when to say it, most of the time. 3. My purpose is to help people through tricky times. "Gain lvls? As a "lvl 3 skiller"? The clue's in the title, nub!" Guthix_Girl
1. Who are you: As far as i know, i am to young to decide who i am. There is no physical way to describe who you are, its more what you have done . 2. What are you doing here: Again, i believe i may be too young to decide that. But i believe we are all on this earth for a reason. There is something everybody has done to give more information about life and add it to the unwritten history of humanity. Even if somebody is disabled, they may have given information to the medical field, or whatever. I hope to give something to the world, even if it is only a bit of dna left after i have deceased. It is not what you have learned, but what you have taught. I haven't been alive that long but i have tought a lot, but learned more than twice as much. I hope to pass on all information i have learned to help people understand life better. 3. What is your purpose: To teach and tell. To observe and listen. To give advice, and recieve it. But the main purpose of humans is like all animals, to survive, and reproduce. that is the circle of life. But if i am to have a purpose as a human being, i want to make a difference (not a martin luther king kind of difference) But a difference in somebodies life. If i have recieved the fulfilment of teaching somebody something and help them understand, then i feel that my purpose on earth is achieved. Never take life too seriously, nobody gets out alive. sheepdean
1. Who are you? I am a collection of atoms and electrical forces that generates life, thought processes and kinetic energy. I'm also a materialist and an empiricist 2. What are you doing here? I'm here because I want to be, be it because I don't know if there is an afterlife, afraid that there is one or because I simply enjoy life too much (the latter is probably untrue, but who understand their own psyche?) 3. What is your purpose? To live, die, re-enter the carbon cycle, then refrom into another living thing. My personally assigned purpose is to simply live however, and live to b as happy as i can be And I'm agnostic, if that interests you Back by popular demand! And I guess I just wanted to tell you, as the light starts to fade, that you aree the reason, that I am not afraid, and I guess I just wanted to mention, as the heavens will fall, that we will be together soon if we will be anything at all. What are you doing here?---Not at the computer. On Earth. What is the point of you living? Wont there always be someone to take your place? i have absoloutley no reason to live to be truthful, my life is completley pointless, the human race is just as insignificant as everything to ever exist, life, light, gravity, time, there is no reason for it, its there and it does what it does, just as i do what i do, and that my friend is living. There is no reason for anything to be here it just is, accept move on, if you look for answers your life will be wasted. 3. What is your purpose?---This question is linked to number 2. Flametrooper
After thinking about it, my conclusion is that the purpose of ourlives is to be awesome. No, seriously. It doesn't matter how, just so long as you, in some way, achieve awesomeness. (The definition of "awesomeness" here may be subjective, but you generally know it when you achieve it.) Just try to do good, be awesome, somehow; enjoy life, help people; and never, ever chicken out of the great roller-coaster ride of Life before it's over, just because you're scared of the drops. Nightsteed2051
1.I am what everyone is. A person. God has created us for a reason. He has given enough air for breath, fire enough for life, earth enought to provide a vessel, and water enough to provide blood, 2.Only God knows the answer to this. He has made us all for a reason. 3. As I have said, only He knows this. But to make a guess, He wants us to remake Earth. He wants us to produce life. Air enough for breath, earth enough to provide a vessel, fire enough for life, and water enough for blood. ~Sir Noobalot of the Noobish Table~~Warrior of Tainted Light~The more you know about me, the less you'll understand. The Darkness Is Taking Over
