Dingo
Okay, first of all, why should we HAVE to be limited because we choose not to pay to waste our time in front of a computer like you? And I'm pretty sure you started playing f2p when you started out as well. There are many things to to in f2p to keep you occupied for a LONG time... What would the few THOUSAND people that play f2p have to say if they capped it? Dumb Idea So... If Pro is the opposite of Con, does that mean that Congress is the opposite of Progress? ...? Happysniff
Maybe its arrogant fools like you who should have a level cap. Why should f2ps be restricted to level 40? And if this idea were plausible, which it isn't, you could have at least made the lvl cap higher. You're just be a greedy, selfish member, not all people have the money to buy stuff like members. If that happened there would be a massive decline in players. And you were an f2p to start with, were you not?
jgrazotis
wen u start member with higher skills say 60 all it would be alot esier to stay alive and raise skills not all f2p have money to pay for members every month thanks to mitsubishi64 who made this sig

ikzelf100
the statement about the money aint right... i'm f2p and i dont become members because: - i'm scared that i will be playing too much if i become members, because i already play alot now. and in p2p, there is soo much to do... yea i quit member now becuase i got all importants tests now at the end of the year i cant play runescape too much now :(
forall
i am a f2p player, and i am proud of it. Has anyone ever heard "It's just a game" Well RS is just a game. As good as it is, I don't see the point of paying to be able to kill more creatures (Slayer) or to make potions ( Herblore) or to do anything else that only members can do, and ( no offense to anyone who cares about the rights of F2P) the only reason P2P think they are better is because they get to pay in order to play the game. I currently have about seven accounts, and not one of them is a member. I am proud of that and I despise all P2P who think only of themselves. As it has been said many times, "F2P is the game; P2P is the extension" I don't suffer from laziness, I enjoy every minute of it.

StrikerRay
ok then tell us god, not all of us have credit cards or anything..and for you its 3 pounds for me its 8 dollars i think..doesnt sound like very much but its alot to parents..especially to pay it monthly. runescape will always be a free game, never pay to play. It would be so unfair to the people that want to try this game too [-X \:D/ Ray::P2P::::Roaming Around::::Phat me pl0x?::::Beamster:: \:D/

kirk
As many others have said, "dumbest idea ever". Jagex has other ways to make f2p's want p2p. Such as more skills to do. You can part of the way cut logs for fletching, but you can't fletch. They can Runecraft, but not all the way. See what im getting at? Anyways, on the topic of "only like 3 pounds a month"... For some people its 5 dollars:P I remember back in the day when i wanted members, my dad made me work my rear end off to earn that money so i could use his credit card to pay for it. He wouldnt just let me give him the 5 dollars. So, others could be in the same boat. Wozza, and if you still complain about them not being able to get members... why dont you pay for all of them? Probably about a million of them. You have an extra 3 million pounds right? [Admin edit: We cant have this on a g-rated forum]Yeah, Im Strong.. alex92100
f2p is just fine, my mum and dad took aloooooooooooot of persuading before letting me become a member. I say its time for some stat resets... who's with me!Stat reset? :uhh: Noooooooo! *Grabs levels and hugs them* MIIINE! MIIINE! :ohnoes: mmmm...... lol :p Woow, Jagex made a typo, let's hate them now. geez
Im one of those players who only get members if I have time to do so, if a cap would be set, it would ruin the game for me, coz the time I m free2play, I wont be able to get any lvls, wich would eventually make me quit rs, wich would make jagex recieve less money... Im getting tired of people who think that just because of they got more then others, the others should still be punished all the times the difference between p and f2p is just fine, leave it that way rsn: geezerrrr

eyehawk78
I like f2p dont get me wrong. Its just when your playin it its like seeing a cupcake on top of a bookshelf and not being able to reach it. i.e When u go up to the gates near falador and it says "You need to be on a member server to access this feature." Like its teasing you. So I bought p2p for the full access. :D Website Updates & Corrections | Website Discussion

destroyon2
It's not the cost that stops people from trying to become a member, there has been a poll in the past on the runescape site and it showed that most people just didn't have the access to someway of paying. So don't think that f2p players are cheap, they just can't find a way to pay. Get 5 bucks, put it in an enveloppe and send it in the mail. not that simple cuz its actauly more if u pay by months its like $7.50 and u have to western unoin or have a money order and u can buy a year for 65.99$ soooo its not as easy as u think pal
aciidfla5h
thats right, u get much more satisfaction when ur high lvl in f2p than when ur high lvl in p2p. i get plenty of laughs while chopping yews and seeing ppl in full dragon or whatever going "OMG! NO WAY!". :D PS: im f2p. bite me. Level 77 for life. Lol.

Most people don't have a checking/bank account to pay from (considering many of the players are children) and that you're forced to pay more when you do it the easy way. Skorne
I'm 17, don't have a job (don't even have a fricking bank account) and have just left college. I've never been p2p but when I get a job I'll probably get a months worth. I'm not going to buy like, a year worth of membership or anything because I have a tendancy to just lose interest in runescape randomly, so I don't want to waste money. Specsy
that would make the game so unpopular when those who have worked so hard to train skills above 40 realise they've been wiped back to 40. It's like suicide for the game, and would cause extreme outrage among the free players. I mean, why put a level cap on when they are fine as they are? It would overturn the economy and upon hittingl level 40 (which is very easy to do) free players would not have anything left to p[lay for! Bad idea. Elphinstone
lol all the f2p's are saying its a rubbish idea. Tbh anyone who cant pay cos their parents wont let them is absolutely pathetic..im sorry but ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã3.29 a month LOL There are plenty of ways to pay, without ur parents even having to agree Really... What about me, when i ve worked to get a high lvl mining, and im wiped back to nil. and what about dragon slayer? Can you do that quest with only 40 in each skill? even worse, how are you ging to get the money to buy Rune after that. Now, about the cost issue, i get an allowance, and it's true my parents really dont want me paying for an online game. But i have other hobbies i spend my time on, runescape is just one. If i was to start paying for RuneScape, it would cause me to cut back on everything else. Besides, some people just couldn't care less about a membership. One more point to make. It's hard to lvl to high levels on F2P, so people generally get to lvl 50 or 60 skill in most of their skills before going P2P, if they go at all, because the majority of the quests and monsters are higher lvl. I REALLY hate that idea. Which FF Character Are You?"The only tyrant i accept in this world is the still voice within." - Mahatma Gandhi
