July 9, 201015 yr I wasn't expecting it to do it anyway. Would of been shot down eventually down the line. "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is."
July 10, 201015 yr Pugged ICC10 HC tonight, got 7/12 down. Going to continue on Sunday where we should get at least Princes and Blood Queen down too, unsure on Putricide/Sindragosa. We had a few attempts at Putricide and there's no reason why it couldn't be done so we're hopeful, just not sure we can all give 100% focus for the full fight.
July 11, 201015 yr So I thought I had a decent guild that was just starting out, everyones gotta start somewhere, ya know? Then the leader said "My dad doesnt think im old enough to run a guild because im 12, but I think im doing good." That explains his...immature behavior. I dont want to be in a guild ran by a 12 year old. Anyways, im wondering what class all of you had the most fun with? Whether it was warrior, pally, mage, etc. I hated the warrior, I liked the pally but I want a hard hitter, idk what to make.
July 11, 201015 yr My favourite was probably Shaman, followed by Mage. They're awesome fun to level with, though my Mage selection may be biased, because I levelled it as Alliance on a horde-dominated server and crushed everyone I met. Ditto w/Shaman, half because Enh was my first Melee class I played and half because OMGWOLVESDUALWIELDINGFIREBALLS. 2h Windfury'ing in PvP with a decent weapon pretty much ensured an insta-death when it procced. <3 sleep like dead men wake up like dead men
July 11, 201015 yr Well, As I've only leveled one toon to 80...I can't really speak for much of the other classes. When my friend introduced me to the game I had asked if their were any classes that used a melee/spell hybrid style. He told me to play a Paladin, I loved playing as a pally. It wasnt until after I got to 80 that I found out everyone hated pallies and assumed they had no skill -_- After almost a year of being 80, I finally started to level a Warlock (I knew so much more about other classes at this point and wanted a more complex dps class.) My Warlock is now lvl 66, and its been even more fun to level up than my pally ^.^ Once its 80 I'll have a tank toon and a dps toon xD "Don't get in my face, don't invade my space. I'll put you in your place.I'll only tell you once, I'll never tell you twice. This is me being nice." ~Porcelain and the Tramps
July 11, 201015 yr I have a mage, and I've always loved playing him. I am always a mage, every game I play, it's just one that I find so easy to use, but this is because I am such a proficient kiter, which is why I love playing hunters and bow users in most games also. I generally suck at melee characters, I just can't get used to them. Spellcasters and damage from a distance is where I flourish. However, having said that, I am also very good at healers, I borrowed a friends priest, specced into Disc and ran upto 2k rating with some blue gear in S6, and have one in the making. I also like druid healers, but not so much in PvP. Click my signature for my blog!
July 12, 201015 yr Thanks guys. Another question. I just downloaded BC, I logged innand it said updating than it said I need to download a patch. This opatch is like 1gb. Its like 3.2.0 this is suppose to happen right? Because this patch is the same exact size of one I already downloaded.
July 12, 201015 yr Yes, you need to download it, then the ones all the way up to 3.3.5 EDIT: I'm surprised you didn't have to to begin with, as the patches apply to everyone regardless of expansions. July 12, 201015 yr I have no idea to be honest. It sounds odd that you would need to, unless there are files that need added with your new expansion (Outlands). July 12, 201015 yr Yep those files just redownloaded for no reason. I click "Play Burning Crusade" then the WoW launcher just freezes -_-
July 12, 201015 yr Hmm, you might want to contact Blizzard if it keeps freezing up and isn't allowing you to download the patches. "Don't get in my face, don't invade my space. July 12, 201015 yr I had a level 17 paladin if that means anything... The sour dough of the epitmous pie hungers for another's sweet lips to be dulled into a state of most irreverant humblenessTUBULAR BELLS!
July 12, 201015 yr Lol, it does. Means you tried the game and didn't feel it suited you. It's ok though, everyone has their own tastes :) "Don't get in my face, don't invade my space. July 12, 201015 yr Nah, more like I played the trial, then cba to download it at my house. I think I would have liked it if I had other friends that played. The sour dough of the epitmous pie hungers for another's sweet lips to be dulled into a state of most irreverant humblenessTUBULAR BELLS!
July 12, 201015 yr Ah, I see. Well, might want to keep in mind that as you quest you're bound to run into people that may or may not become your friend. For a first character I'd suggest using the Looking For Group be kept to a minimum...it's filled with many a nasty people. Then again some (like myself) are kind to the inexperienced players. If I had a computer at the moment I'd tell ya to come to my server since I play a paladin and could teach you the ropes :) "Don't get in my face, don't invade my space. July 12, 201015 yr Second full week in HMs this weekend... we got the first wing, Festergut, Rotface, and Blood Queen down. We were only running 7/10 of the usual group, since some people couldn't make it and the pugs prevented us from doing Professor and Blood Princes, and we didn't even want to try heroic Frostwing Halls without the full group : / Expecting a good life because you're a good person is like expecting a bull not to charge because you're a vegetarian.
July 12, 201015 yr I want to be dishing alot of damage and not die too quickly, and be useful in raids. What class am I looking for?
July 12, 201015 yr Any class can be useful in raids and not die too quickly if they know what they're doing. In general melee has a bit more survivability though. "It's not a rest for me, it's a rest for the weights." - Dom Mazzetti
July 12, 201015 yr Oh yeah, by the way guys, check your Battle.net accounts. I got into the BETA for Cataclysm (Just in the last hour) without an e-mail. I AM SO HAPPEH FACE ATM. Apart from I'm going on holiday and ranked games are released in another game I play plus Starcraft 2 will be released on my return too :P Click my signature for my blog!
July 12, 201015 yr Any class can be useful in raids and not die too quickly if they know what they're doing. In general melee has a bit more survivability though. He speaks the absolute truth. So you want to dps and be useful, which is every class, so now its a matter of 'how' you would like to be useful. Most dps are usually useful in similar ways, but there are a couple classes that can do high dps and provide raid support. Mages provide the raid with food and drink, as well as being able to decurse allies. Their spell steal also is useful on certain fights. Druids provide a raid wide aura in every one of their combat forms (Buff changes as form does). Also, a druid can quickly rez a fallen raider during battle (Only class capable of this). Rogues are capable of extremely high dps and when specced right can boost all other melee dps. (Warrior can do this too) (ps3 limits post, plz excuse my double post) "Don't get in my face, don't invade my space. I'll put you in your place.I'll only tell you once, I'll never tell you twice. July 12, 201015 yr Paladins offer a wide variety of buffs, aura's and support spells. While dpsing a Ret Pally can also pull a decent amount of off healing with AoW procced flash heals. Also there are a number of anti CC and immunity spells the pally has access too. Shamans are one of the more 'must haves' in a group. They can work as caster dps OR melee dps. They also have a raid wide spell that boosts the whole raids' damage immensely (I forget the exact %, it's been a while). On top of that, they have an assortment of totems that offer party-wide buffs. I'm not exactly sure how a hunter rolls, but they are capable of high dps too ^.^ Priests have the ability to clear enemy buffs. Warlocks are another 'must have' in a raid group. Their soulstone can save a raid, and they can summon raid members with a summoning stone (requires 3 ppl to accomplish). "Don't get in my face, don't invade my space. I'll put you in your place.I'll only tell you once, I'll never tell you twice. This is me being nice." ~Porcelain and the Tramps
July 12, 201015 yr Don't pick Enh Shaman or Feral Drood if you just want easy damage, they've probably got the two most complex rotations for DPS atm, for not much reward. Last time I played, most classes were on a reasonably level ground when it came to numbers, but of course that changes with every encounter/raid, but IIRC, Arcane Mages are very uncomplicated damage dealers. sleep like dead men wake up like dead men
