Well, looks like I'm getting this when my trial runs out. And I don't really get addicted to things, so my social life shouldn't suffer too badly.

Unless you're into raiding you can perfectly play the game in a casual way.

I agree. Raiding is the core problem this game causes to social life. Of course, some people think WoW is nothing without raiding.

Well, to be fair, if you're not into professions or pvp, there's not much else to do. :P

I have a question:

I bought WoW at a store, and I brought it home, but the DVD in my PC, and installed it.

How am I supposed to get my free 30 days with it? I'm a little confused, do you enter it in as a game card, or what? I created an account but I don't know how to get the free 30-days on it.

First off, you have to redeem a code inside the box, I believe. The code should be applied to the account and there you have your free 30 days and the ability to play the classic version of World of Warcraft. Additional playtime can be bought with a credit card via the internet (it's a recurring payment, so you keep on getting playtime until either you cancel the payments, your credit card reaches its limit, or the transaction for the month fails. The much less complex method is getting a 60 day game time card for USD $30, and redeeming the code on your account. Stores sell the cards in boxed form, so don't expect just a card.

I just started playing recently.

Question: Are rogues good at high levels?

Question: Are rogues good at high levels?

Good is an understatement. Rogues usually are the top of the DPS carts, pulling 10k DPS in heroics at level 80. In PvP, rogues usually beat the living hell out of almost every other class. This is visible in almost every single level, so yes, I would go with a rogue.

Ahh, rogues...fun fun fun. I recently got mine to 60 and in Outland. Sap. Steal. Laugh.

Can somebody recommend me a good pvp build at level 60 for a lock?

The problem with this is that every class can be "good" at high levels if you know what you're doing.

Rogues are probably the best class for pvp and do great pve dps so yes, rogues are "good" :P

You will... trust me.

Yeah, so much so that when you aren't playing you'll read and post about it on a forum dedicated to a different game :)

Mage PvP Fire.

OP.

This is what I learned today.

Expecting a good life because you're a good person is like expecting a bull not to charge because you're a vegetarian.

omg so priests learn mind flay at 23 now? that would be so nice for my lil gnome priest

Finally did some ICC10 HC today.

One shot the first 3 bosses then there was not enough CC on the beasts for the 4th so just did that normal.

Then one DPS had to leave so we 9 manned Rotface HC, one shot :)

Got the mace + shield so that's a huge improvement for me :D. Hoping for the 264 neck next week (never ever seen it drop on normal), chest from Deathwhisper and bracers from Saurfang and will be full 264 :D

I started a few days ago, I'm a Human Warlock level 13. :geek:

What area should I quest at? Westfall is a bit too hard because of the higher leveled monsters grouped together. Elwynn Forest is a bit too easy.

Do a few of the quests on the Elwynn/Westfall borders. Those should transition you nicely :)

NOTE: Beware of Hogger, the biggest badass in the game >;)

I killed Hogger.

Heh, The Hogger thing is just an old joke. He used to be considered the alliance's right of passage to level further :P

Chuck Norris checks his closet every night for Hogger.

Hogger was originally going to be a realm name, but it was changed by Blizzard because they were starting to receive disturbing death threats from Elwynn Forest.

Lol Hogger. Beat him three times, each time easier then the last :P

And as a level 13 lock, you should be able to quest in westfall no problem, if you're careful.

The problem with Locks is that if you get too many enemies on you, you're screwed because of the cloth armor.

Then you have to learn to pull only one at once :P

Don't locks have some kind of low level cc anyway? I know when I'm on my mage and I pull two mobs, I poly one and that's usually enough.
