I still have to get the last key fragment for Kara too. I haven't been on in nearly 10 days but maybe ill get it this weekend. I just haven't been in the mood for WoW lately.

we downed him lol, brought a lvl 70 warrior. The levitating our healer wasn't a big problem because we just made sure we would be in range.

 

 

 

I got the Skullduggers' Leggings from him. Not my dagger but still nice.

Also how can you people have problems killing the last boss in Underbog :\ I used to farm that instance for the heroic-tokens (shield and trinket). You just need a decent tank who knows how to mitigate damage when you're healer is levitated or you just need to bundle up (on heroic you get some adds that come in every x seconds and the boss has more hp, but same tactic non the less). Anyway, even when your healer and tank can't stand close to each other for some reason, you still got last stand, shield block spam, thunderclap (especially easy with the new patch), demo shout and if you really need to, shield wall). Easy mode.

 

 

 

Oh and, bring warlocks! (we cleared Karazhan in 6 days with 3 warlocks + shadow priest; it's insane damage-output :P).

 

 

 

Oh and Chris, I played RS like what, 4 years ago - I was very young still, and CS I never really played "hard core" but yeah, WoW that, that I played a bit too much. But still never regret a single minute of it. :)

 

 

 

Also the funny thing is, I decided to quit my account by I shared my account with my brother (he plays a different character though) but when I saw him do some (like 10) pug-instanced I noticed how few warriors actually knew what they were doing even when some of them specced protection; it's scary.

You know, that's actually a nice little money maker, Meesy...

I've paid 12 Euro per month, times ~18 months is 216 Euro paid to Blizzard.

 

Now I've had around 200 days playtime on my characters combined (of which ~120 on my warrior I think) now that's 4.800 hours of WoW.

 

That's like getting paid 20 cents per hour to play. :P

 

 

 

Anyway, I'll say again; I've enjoyed every single minute of it. ^^

Insane crits and dps, you can attack people before they even know you're there (stealth and then even vanish), people can't really get away from you that easily (depends on class, and even then you have poison and sprint), stunlock (Nadril ;)), kick is a killer too if you're a caster. Plus everyone has probably been ganked by a rogue more than most other classes, since it's so freaking easy. Rogues are great in all brackets, but especially the lower level ones for twinks. Plus, there are a TON of rogues because they are so good which doesn't help matters.

Rogues, mages and hunters are so crappy since TBC they're useless in PvE ^^;

Mages and hunters, I definatly agree, but rogues? Nah. CloS is an absolute biotch sometimes (not that most rogues still stand a chance 8-)).

I made myself take a break for finals and such, and its been like 12 days now. Gunna reinstall tommorow and get cracking on PvP and Kara attunement again. I decided to uninstall it for my break, because the 5 hour cumulitave download was enoguh incentive to keep me away :P

I think you can download/order for free a CD which has the install with all the updates (or at least the biggest ones), a friend of mine did that. It's very handy if you don't want to wait for a whole day to play after you reinstall. ^^;

 

 

 

Otherwise, don't download the patches through the Blizzard website since they're butt-slow, but use a Patch Mirror (Wowwiki.com).

 

 

 

Also, can't just on PvP really - I focused only on PvE in TBC especially since I was specced prot (only [bleep]ed around a bit on my other classes, but that's not much). Anyway, I PvP'ed quite some in pre-TBC though, even made an own PvP-movie! :P

And as to pvping, its the most fun I have in the game anymore. PvE is alright (and lets face, warlocks were born for it) but its usually just a headache for me unless ive got some guildies in my group. The way im specced I can do both PvE and PvP very effectively though.

 

 

 

My plan is to get some good PvP reward gear before i get serious on 5 main or raiding (my gear right now is pretty pathetic). It'd be nice if alliance won more than 1 of every 5 games though >.>

In pre-TBC warlocks really sucked badly in both PvP and PvE, we almost tried to bring minimum amounts to raids else we would have DPS problems.

 

Rogues, fury warriors and mages really were the top of the notch back then, but I guess Blizzard realised this wasn't balanced, so they nerfed these classes and buffed the other classes not in this list (shadow priests, warlocks in PvE and PvP and hunters in PvP), so now it's imbalanced the other way around. :P

Most rogues suck at their class, remember this :wink: . They are really easy to take out depending on your class.

 

 

 

Now granted if you come across a good rogue depending on your class you will have troubles, especialy if said rogue isn't afraid of blowing a cooldown or two.

 

 

 

 

 

However rogues are suposidly a bit gimp in the top notch (2100+ arena rating) 5v5's. A lot of people have like 300+ resiliance which means we hardly crit. And, well... if we don't crit we hit like a wet paper towel. :)

 

 

 

 

 

@ Meesy: They are changing glancing blows and sweeping strikes next patch so rogues are again going to be useful to raids. Before they wouldn't be brought because of the liability in BC but now we again can get a chance (good at that) to top the charts.

 

 

 

 

 

Also the reason you probaly had such great magic damage is because a lock/mage/shadow priest together rape. But then again a Rogue / Rogue/Fury Warrior / Feral druid / Enhancment shaman group is amazing for DPS as well. Had one last night in an AQ20 raid I did with a guild (newish raiding guild, we wanted to try it out. Plus I was aplying for them [got in]). My group during the last bit was a resto shaman, me, warrior, feral druid and someone else.

2 priests (holy & shadow)

 

2 shamans (resto & enhancement)

 

3 warlocks (pewpewpew)

 

1 random

 

 

 

Since we were a pug (non-guild, just friends from several guilds) we just took whatever was on, either was a hunter, a 3rd shaman (elemental) or a 4th warlock.

 

 

 

Let's just say, bosses' HP melted down in seconds. :P

 

But as you can see, no mages, no rogues and (most of the time) no hunters. :)

 

 

 

Also I don't know if anyone knows "Vurtne" the undead mage who made some awesome PvP movies - but he deleted his character since he thinks it's no longer fair to play a mage in PvP; has to say something.
