I've tried a Tauren Shaman (trial account), UD Rogue, Orc Hunter, Gnome Mage, Gnome Warlock and Draenei Paladin. I've got them all to level 20 or there abouts, which I know isn't a very good indication, but I just wanted to try the classes out and see how I enjoyed levelling them. I've yet to try Warrior or Priest.

 

 

 

Turns out I enjoyed them all for their differences :P When I was on my mage, I wished to get up close and bish bosh, then on the pally I wanted to pewpewpew again from range :P So, all of the classes I've enjoyed, just wondering which I'll carry on. Something with decent PvE, but mainly good PvP (1vs1 or Arenas, haven't really decided yet >.<) - or, if other tip.iters were playing on a relatively low toon a good class compliment with them :)

I had my concerns though that they seem to be constantly hit with the nerf ball. I don't know whether that's just people whining or if there's any truth behind it. But regardless, I'll be trying it when I get back to my halls tonight :)

 

 

 

Do warriors often get ganked in contested areas on PvP realms?

3 months ago I would have agreed with the warrior nerfs thing but right now they are quite well off.

Not to mention you won't have a problem getting in groups; all groups need a tank, and face it - warriors are way better tanks than druids if they know how to play their class (which seems to be a problem for some people, but okay :P).

Orc Warrior it is :) (if my lore serves me well, it makes the most sense >.<)

Don't pick an orc, a lot of encounters have mind controlling bosses.

Oh really? That's smeggy. I thought with a trinket though, I could accommodate for lack of WoTF. Plus, fear is becoming more breakable, and warriors already have 'break fear' moves in one stance, don't they?

Don't worry to much about the racial bubs. Unless you plan on doing end game raid main tanking having WoTF isn't going to be a large deal.

Undead, taurens and orcs are all solid warriors. I'd go with whatever you think looks coolest, seeing as how you'll spend an awful lot of time looking at it. As far as fear goes, berserker rage and death wish make things a lot easier for you :)

Yeah warriors have plenty of ways to rid of fear.

 

 

 

Main reason I took undead as my race choice (other than I hate rogues and didn't like the idea of an orc rogue) is that WoTF helped a ton with what rogues lacked up to 66, a way to break fear (minus trinket).

Cool guys, I share that view as well. It's a good thing about WoW that you can't really be gimped by a race, can you? :)

 

 

 

I'll probably stick with Orc. I found with my tauren that seeing what was infront of me tended to be difficult :P and well, there are UD everywhere!

 

 

 

The plate armour looks good on Orcs too, in proportion and all (it's like all armour is modelled for humans, though). Plus, being green is always fun.

Have to kill a 62 elite with 60 elites all around it. I don't see how you could do it unless you get into a raid, which is what my friend said he did when he had to do it.

However I saw two mid-high 50's (lock and paladin) duo the quest.

If you can choose between GOOD racials (warstomp, 5% more hp or unending breath (world pvp) or will of the forsaken (anti-fear, but not only good for fear, breaks other stuff also)) or CRAP racials (trolls have nothing) and orcs have stuff that's only used against them.

 

You do not want an orc tank in any instance where there's mind-controlling, trust me.

 

 

 

So while you have the choice, pick a decent race ^^.

You can't do it alone, you can't do it in a raid (you can only complete quests with a [raid] tag in raids) so you have to group up - that's the only way pretty much.

The point is unless you are min-maxing to the extreme you don't need to worry about having a 2 min CD fear break (when warriors have plenty available to them) or a 2min CD 2 second stun with 5% hp.

 

 

 

 

 

First of all, orcs have good PvP racials. Stun resist really ammounts to something [i'm a rogue, I know after fighting orcs] and blood frenzy is great to pop with your trinket that gives +ap.

 

 

 

 

 

The bigest thing is (and of course no offense to bubs) but I don't think he's rolling a warrior so he can sit here and main tank raids where, perhaps in all of its glory, WoTF would prove useful.

 

 

 

 

 

5% hp on tauren is a joke. If you have 1000hp thats an extra 50 whopping hp. If you have 10k hp which most 70 MT's will have you will have 10500 with it. It's not a big deal.

 

 

 

 

 

Like I said I rolled undead for the look and for WoTF. The reason I rolled it was for PvP reasons. In the end I probaly could do just fine in PvP without the racial but I thought it was a nice bonus for what I didn't have. Warriors have fear breaks so I don't find WoTF as important unless bubs plans on doing some heavy PvP.

Ah ok, if you don't take the game seriously (whether that's Pve or PvP) of course it doesn't matter then. :P

My friends are all starting over with horde so that we're all on the same level and can group together. I decided to be a rogue, and since we've got a few experienced rogues here I was wondering what horde race I should go with (good for group PvE) and how I should go about leveling it.

Why don't you do it on burning blade rocket?

 

 

 

Any horde race for rogue will do for PvE, I like undead for PvP though.

I'd go for an undead rogue if you're focussing on PvE, only for cannibalizing really.

 

Berserking (troll) is decent, but not a rogue since it costs you valuable energy.

 

 

 

Btw, I'm thinking of starting over again since I'm so bored without WoW I just need to find a good server...

Gotta say I agree with you - I rolled Human, mainly for the looks and I liked the idea of bonuses to weapon skills and factions, but in hindsight it's not the best race for a Rogue.

 

 

 

If I could go back, I'd have probably picked Gnome or Night Elf - Gnome for the Engineering bonus and the escape artist ability, and NE for the stacking effect of Shadowmeld and Stealth.
