MyPurpleCrayon
jim carrey overacts but its funny and supposed to be that way In movies like Ace Ventura and Dumb & Dmber the whole over-the-top thing is funny, but in his serious films like Spotless Mind its a little awekward. He's definatly one of those hit-miss kind of guys. I thought Carey was great in Spotless Mind. He was awesome in Man On The Moon too. Yeah, I agree entirely. He can overact in his comedies, but wow... Spotless Mind is a phenomenal movie. And his new movie coming out, The Number 23, it looks pretty awesome. Faux
I don't know about the 'best actors' but these are just some of the ones I enjoy watching a lot - Pitt, Freeman, Norton, Marky Mark, Bale, Willis, Ferrell, Damon, Cruise, Clooney, Chan It's funny how I don't have preferences for 'best actresses' :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
timmay929
Worst: Johnny Depp. I liked him in Pirates of Carribean, but after he made Charlie & the Chocolate Factory(whiched sucked) I never liked him. angryjoe
Worst actors.. . I know they're meant to be parody movies; but their acting is sickening :uhh:+1 As for best i would probably say Morgan Freeman and Tom Hanks. Hovewer there are also actors that are still good but just not the best whom i seem to love every film that they are in (or at least the majoraty) such as Edward Norton & Johnny Depp. And ill add my own category of best looking and vote for catherine zeta jones :P

But if you mean some one over 18.. I would have to say Probably Bruce Willis What???? She is one of the BEST actors/actresses I've ever seen. Just watch War of the Worlds and you'll see for yourself. I have hopes for her in the future as a great actress as well. As far as the worst actor goes...I wouldn't know their names to list them. :-k Runescape Name: "unbug07"Expand your mind. Quasiquixote
Worst: Keanu (sp?) Reeves Best: Hugo Weaving, Carey Ewles and Johnny Depp (at least in Sleepy Hollow). "You are quasi-quixotic. You are semi-quixotic. You are the bronze dagger of quixoticism. You are the mind rune of quixoticism. Just one iota - NOT QUIXOTIC ENOUGH." SuziAngel
Best: *Johnny Depp - He always takes unusual roles, interesting characters, and plays them so well. *Kevin Spacey - Just fantastic. Worst: *Mark Wahlberg - The man has about as much charisma as a mouldy banana. The Poison Fairy
blushenka
Really interesting topic. I agree with what Bubsa said about the diversity of acting styles, even though I'm nowhere near as knowledgeable in the field as he is. ;d I agree that Jim Carrey is *supposed to over react and that's what makes him funny. I laugh with tears at the stuff he does, come on....And in serious movies he's great as well, like in Man on the Moon (awesome movie that one, btw) So with best actors I'd have to go with Al Pacino. All the stuff he does is so completely *him*. I mean, once you've seen him in a part, you can't imagine anyone else, ever, playing that. He just takes the role and makes it his own. Even when it's stuff that actors will continue to play until the end of time, like Shakespeare. Gosh, whenever I read Richard III I see him and hear him say the words...He also directed that movie btw. As for worst actors, and thank you to the person who shares my opinion on this one, cause I thought I was alone in this: Emma Watson. She's so bad it' cringeworthy. Dan Radcliffe is not amazing either, but even he has moments when he's good and he's improving, he really is. Oh there are plenty of other bad actors, but I usually just ignore them/change the channel, etc. Whereas her i can't ignore, cause I really like Harry Potter movies. So bleah, yeah, she annoys me a lot. "Metal isn't about violence or faggy whiny lyrics. It isn't even about who plays the heaviest and fastest. It is about invoking a sense of wonder and magnitude that no other genre can depict."
tomdavies90
Best: I'm gonna go for people from comedies, mainly ̮̤̉̉ause they are my heroes- Simon Pegg and Nick Frost Purely for the fact they write all their own stuff unlike most "funny" actors, plus you gotta include the fact that Nick Frost was only mates with Pegg and used to have an ordinary job until he was introduced in Spaced, for little acting practice he's great. Worst: hmmm i dunno.....i don't think any actors are really bad, just depends upon roles, i guess Uma Thurman in Kill Bill...god i hate that movie Sig by me....
