It's always fun to make up fictional sports. Me and my friends made one up, after doing an assignment on parkour in school.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Parkour is an urban sport where you jump from building to building. We'd wait for the parkourists to jump from one building to another, then bam! We'd get paintball guns and dress in camo, then go out and shoot them. We wouldn't do it in real life, of course, because they'd probably lose balance and die a horrible death. We call it Yamikazi Hunting.

onionball - it arised at an archery club social when we wanted to play rounders, but had no bat or ball of any description.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

so we sent someone down to the shop to get a ball.. they returned with an onion and some elastic bands.

 

 

 

we cover the onion in bands, wrap it in a plastic bag, more elastic bands, another bag, more bands, another bag and a final layer of bands. then find a random wooden post for the bat.

it was good fun :-) especially when the onion eventually gave in and splatted everywhere.

Oh I remember one. Shadow tag. Basically you have to tag/step on another person's shadow for them to be it. You hide by remaining in the shade, I think it was like a 10 second base limit or something, I forgot, more than 5 years ago.

Get an industrial size roll of masking tape and a long, empty corridor. Stand far apart from your opponent as you wish, with your legs slightly more than shoulder width apart. Then, roll the tape like a ball and try to get it between the other player's legs.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sounds simple? NO! The tape is never completely round, so it darts off in all directions, sometimes early, sometimes late, for added tension. A helpful ricochet off the wall is a skilfull erm...skill as well. :P

In the summer me and my friends would go to the bandstand in the park and play a game with tennis racquets and a ball where you have to hit the ball up to the roof so it bounces down and then to your opponent who is allowed to have only once bounce only on the floor of the bandstand before hitting it back up to the roof. Its kinda hard to explain but its fun ^_^

I made up this sport a few years back. Unfortunately, I accidentally lost the disc that contains the data. Ended up getting stolen. Anyway, you may have heard of Quidditch? Yep, took months to make up the rules.

Me and my friends have this pool game where we'd throw something in the water (something that sinks of course) and race to get it back. It is dumb, but really fun.

I used to play that with coins. You had to find the relevant value coin as specified by the other person :D

if ya have a set of pool balls and snooker balls, use the snooker reds for the 3rd player :-)

its really annoying when you pot 5-6 of your own balls at once early on, then theres ~15 balls on the table to get in the way so your ALWAYS snookered trying to get your last ball.

gran tourismo, but where whoevers racing doesnt get to choose or see what car their going to drive, and the other people there choose a car and set it up as badly as possible. seeing someone try to handle a TVR speed 12 with huge toe-out, real-life tires and spongey suspension is quite funny. as is watching the ford ka (i think it was) bounce forwards and backwards for an entire lap because we seriously messed up the suspension.

anyhow, I used to play a game when I was a kid with a small soft ball the size of a...baseball I can imagine, only softer, softer than a softball aswell.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

the goalposts were the edges of a doorway in one goal, a chair and the wall in the other. you played it sitting on the floor either on your behind or on your knees. you scored by getting the ball past the opponent, like in for example soccer, or floorball.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

it was a very dangerous sport for any bystanding porcelain audience and paintings hanging on the wall, not paintings actually painted on the wall, they were safe ;)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The game had to be abandoned because of a piano in the middle of the playing field. (I'll never forgive my parents for destroying my childhood just for my sister's pianolessons...:P)

lol me and my cousin used to play football down our hall. that was similarly hazardous for bystanding inanimate objects.. though i think we managed to not really ever break anything.

When I was VERY little (like 4-7 years old) i would run around the mall doing crazy things and if anyone saw me doing them, I would lose the game.

EDIT: its not much of a "fictional sport" but nobody does it really...

My friends and I (about eight of us) had this "sport". We would casually sneak into a game of wall ball (if you don't know what it is, don't ask) and we would wait until one of us got the ball. As soon as one of us eight would get the ball, we would run. It was really funny to see the eight of us running across the school field, throwing the tennis ball back and forth to each other while a group of twenty or more kids were running for us because they wanted their ball back. Oh how they hated us. It was so fun.

Not a game I invented, but I sure love playing...

I dont quite remeber what wacky rules we used to play by but when I was a kid there was this shark type game where we threw all the pillows from the sofa and chairs on the carpet and you had to stand on them and somehow avoid being eaten by the "shark". lol I dont really remember anyhting other than that.
