I see that you have a very good point there. Lots of things about range are good. But you failed to mention how good ancients is. I mean if i have 94 mage no matter how much magic def bonus you have is going to save you from getting frozen. And how is full ahrims walking around in a dress. :-s #-o

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

but you also need to remember that even though they might be frozen, they still can shoot your butt off, i have ancients and its fun, but range is range. Like i said. I can still shoot you and ahrims robe skirt. key word skirt. skirt is a short dress. Point proven once again

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Well i would have to say that karils skirt is way more of a skirt than ahrims wouldnt you? In fact all the barrows brothers skirts are more of a skirt that ahrims. But yeah range and an ancient are a real close match.

Magic is by far my favorite skill. Range is one of my favorites as well. They are both 99. I feel guilty wearing my range cape though because I got like 10M range XP in only a week by training in the secret spot. I don't feel like a "master of ranging." Though, I take my pride in wearing my magic cape because I know almost everything about magic. Despite their magic levels, there are tons of critical, extremely beneficial things which most people don't know about magic.

Well i can imagen you getting tons of range exp from doing the fight caves over and over again.

A bit of both is good, but when you combine then together and make a tanker...oh the wonders of that :D However I seem to prefer the melee+mage combo, seems a lot cooler!

If you'd asked me a few weeks ago, I would have said magic without hesitation.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

...But now I've started training ranged quite heavily, and I have to say it's grown on me. I think ranged is quite underated, I mean it's fast, cheap and quite powerful.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It's a close call really, in terms of combat I prefer ranged now, but magic has the edge as it has non combat stuff such as teleports etc.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If mage didn't have teleports I would have voted range, but as it does, I'm going to have to go for mage.

BTW, range.

I'm a f2p so from f2p point of view, i'll choose range becoz it looks deceptively lousy compared to magic. But the fast hits gives my opponents a shock and i'lll pwn them usually.

I have always liked magic, its so cool, you can do magic that damage, magic that weakens, magic that teleports you, and magic that helps other!

nothing is cooler than shooting 30s with crystal bow and owning you at far.

 

 

 

Doesnt Ice barrage max at 30 too? Range hits 30s and is way faster.

Absolutely range. Best thing ever for quest bosses. Mage usually bounces off them. :x

It's quite a hard decision, they both have great advantages.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I probably like range in that it provides nice hp exp in comparison to magic that's often raised with high alchs.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ranging is more fun with it's specials and it's outfits, however mage has great benefits when you raise it up near the 80s and 90s.

i like magic because there are more opions like tele and bind rather then just shoting arrows

i like mage, it's my highest cb stat and i love ancients :)

Im a melee guy but when it comes to distance fighthing I chose magic :)
