cxueqing1
As a high level miner, I almost mine some rune ores every week. With 87 defence, it is quite easy for me to escape from 2-3 miner killers (even a group of mage, melee and ranger). The question is what will you do if there are 5+ pkers around you? Note: Escape from pkers, not fight back. Because I hope to bring full load of rune ores to the bank. LOL. RSN: Cxueqing1A proud self-containing F2P player. eias
should try to mine at f2p not p2p cuz there pkers will barage you and stuff while the best one for f2p pkers is snare for 5 seconds and you wont find any pker there usually

Goobore
As a high level miner, ... The question is what will you do if there are 5+ pkers around you?... Well, there are the basics... -- use a fake miner as a scout to draw the PKers out -- run west into the single-combat region -- turn off auto retaliate -- use the nearby Ice Giants to tie up the PKers -- mine only 4 ore, then, when attacked, drop your pic and use your protect prayer. In other words, always plan to die. (Use only if you are dying a lot) Hope this helps

Doomster
Way past the tele zone, questionable if its even worth carrying tele runes (to jump back to safety from level 20) while operating that far past the limit.
Goobore
id just log out and change worlds. mrsir17
use a scout, because quite a few f2p worlds have pkers in them by the rune rocks. goal:1000 total f2p lvls.

aoe325
Consider taking a skull scepter. It is a one-space tele. Do you actually know anything about the wilderness? have you ever been in there? You cant teleport pass level 20. Quest cape obtained at combat level 83, march 07. Captainkidd
Get like a level 3 up there and scout out the area before you log into it, if its good then log into, once you see white dot log even if your mining the rock.
tojima
if you dont mind losing 3 spaces in your bag, take water, earth and nature runes. and with only 20 mage, you can bind a pker for 5 seconds while you make a get away. that usually gets me far enough ahead of them to log out. i dont mine rune, but ive used this a couple times when getting clues. doesnt work too well on mages tho i guess. and yes i did this on f2p, i would get on f2p to get there, then log onto p2p, then log out etc, you know how it goes. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=616130 <--- Guide for Cheap 99 Firemaking
cxueqing1
Thanks for all your suggestions. I use almost all methods except bind, because I want to bring 28 rune ores each trip. Lol. tojima
you might want to try it at least once, a friend of mine who mines rune tried it a couple times, and he said he'd suggest it if it starts getting busy. and if you carry mud runes instead, you only lose 2 spaces instead of 3. it might not be good, but i want to hear what others say about it. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=616130 <--- Guide for Cheap 99 Firemaking
Doomster
Problem with bind, if you use it first, you will skull! If the major irritant is mages, try switching to leather/dragonhide, at least their binds will be less likely to catch.
highlanders
If you're p2p, you could buy a stone ring, and transform into a rock :XD: 2480+ total
Dazzuh
If you're p2p, you could buy a stone ring, and transform into a rock :XD: Ha nice idea but he is F2P, Only suggestion i can think of is have your cursor on the log out button and when you see a white dot click it. Piman
i cannot mine rune, but I have gone on many pk trips with my clan, and we usually make rounds around the rune rocks. Here are my suggestions to get away. wear dhide to protect from magic better, its also lighter than metal armors. You can run your way out of a lot of situations, but you have no hope if they start binding you. Having a high mage level will also boost your defenses against binds. As soon as you see white dots approaching, you should try to log out and world switch. Make sure private chat is off or on private, so they can't follow you. However, if it is a good pking group, they are going to be coming in fast. Therefore, I suggest you MOVE before you try to click the log-out. Always have run on, and always run to the west of the rune rocks. You will be running into multi-combat, but a couple more clicks west will put you into single-combat again. Once you are in single-combat, run south, and maybe try to log again. With your high defense and dhide on, very few people will be able to kill you as you flee through single-combat. This should go without saying, but have good food. You will NOT survive without something to eat if a group starts attacking you. If you want to know where the multi-combat areas are so you can steer clear, use tis map: http://tip.it/runescape/html/wild_map.htm
