They've announced that they're going to be making Star Trek 11 and releasing it next Xmas (2008)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Apparently it's the same guy that directs Lost and MI3.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It's going to be about Kirk and Spock when they were young.... sounds a bit dull eh?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

There's an unwritten rule whereby all oddly number StarTrek movies suck, while evenly number movies are awesome... kinda hoping this one will side step that landmine lol.

I don't really care for Sci Fi such as Star Trek. Its a bit too geeky for my liking and its all too perfect with talking aliens any stuff. I much prefer more naturalistic scifi such as Firefly or Battlestar Galactica.

From what I read, it was apparently aired at random times, on different channels and in the wrong order lol. No wonder the American TV audience found it difficult to get into.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

BTW, it was the fastest selling tv sci-fi dvd ever.... ironic eh?

 

 

 

That's why they approved the movie according to Fox.

I've seen two so far. The one where kirk dies and the one with data as part of the borg collective. Both were pretty good. This past year I've gotten into The next generation by watching it after school and I really like it so I'll probably go see this one.

Same thing with Tremors: The Series :( Loads of episodes of Tremors were also cut because SciFi didnt like them which totally made the plot broken and viewers confused and its never been released to DVD :(

Hate to spoil misconceptions, but absolutely no story-material has been stated.

 

 

 

There is a high chance of it being a reboot during Kirk's tenure as captain of the NCC 1701. However, it's not going to be Starfleet: 90210 as the OP had originally thought.

I pretty much never liked the movies. Only the series ;)

Well, like I said... every even numbered movie is typically excellent, whereas the odd numbered movies are generally poop.

If they are going to do a Star Trek movie, they should continue where the Enterprise series left off, the birth of the Federation. I was seriously pissed about how they pulled the plug on that just as things were getting interested.

It's only from the lack of black people on it. Wasn't enough for UPN I guess.

Ya but it better take place before nemisis. Any of you who have seen it should know why, that ending just sucked. And any movie wouldnt be the same without him. (im trying not to spoil the ending there)
