I managed to see exactly what Runesmithie saw when I was going out to get some dinner.

The moon had just risen, so I was not able to see it sooner.

My heart is broken by the terrible loss I have sustained in my old friends and companions and my poor soldiers. Believe me, nothing except a battle lost can be half so melancholy as a battle won. -Sir Arthur Wellesley

Heres what I saw:

Yep, just clouds. Don't even know where the moon was so I took a few, they cover the whole southern sky.

Well I had four pictures but imageshack is being stupid like normal so there is just two.

EDIT: Right after I clicked submit it finally went through. Imageshack sucks like no other, but I guess since it's free I shouldn't complain.

indy, try getting a photobucket- it's free and stores your pics until you delete them

My sky was covered in clouds when I walk outside, so I just walked back inside

I saw it until a really big cloud came and i mean big it took atleast 20min's to go but by the time it did go it was orange and nearly going so i missed most of it because of that cloud.

Nice picture guys =D>

I had the best view up in our attic window but I tried taking a picture of it with my phone but you can't even see it! My bro took a couple of shots with his camera but the moon looked really tiny :(

I overestimated the abilities of my camera too... still it was a cloudless sky so at least I got to see it properly.

i was so upset that it was cloudy...

so it was too cloudy...then around 9:20 after it was well over the clouds were gone :?

Very sorry, but my camera just didn't work. Getting it repaired, so no pictures, but I think I can grab some from the news:
