I've noticed the huge amount of people alching mage longs and yew longs.

They all loose a little bit money If they DONT make them!

PS: No Skills Involved except 55 magic!

[hide=What? Free alchs?]But.. there is a way to loose no money, infact, a few gp profit!

It just takes some time, and some starting cash (10++m adviced, do-able with just a few M tho..)

There are a few items that are alchable without losing cash.

The ones I use are:

Dragonhide Items, Rock-Shell Items, Rune Items, Jewellery

Why these items?

1. Dhide armour is crafted alot and they sell at lowest to get rid of it.

2. Rock-Shell is obtained by Dkers (Dagannoth Kings) much.

3. Rune is pked alot in f2p, and some p2p.

4. Jewellery (Bracelets) are made alot with Crafting.[/hide]

[hide=The Buying]In RuneScape there is a rule for the G.E (As you will be using the G.E for your buying):

You can only buy 100 of our alchable items every 4 hours.

That's 600 a day.

So, lets get it started!

What I'm doing ATM is:

Buying as much alchable Blue D hide stuff/Rock-Shell Stuff/Rune Stuff for Lowest price in the Grand Exchange.

For alching you need Nature Runes (You also need fire runes, but I suggest a Fire/Lava staff), buy them at Medium price in the G.E.

I will list up all prices for the items I mostly alch.[/hide]

Alchs for 39000 GP: 20gp Profit!

Rock-Shell Helm: 20840 GP + 260 GP = 21100 GP.

Alchs for 21120 GP: 20gp Profit!

Rock-Shell Legs: 38120 GP + 260 GP = 38380 GP.

Alchs for 38400 GP: 20gp Profit![/hide]

[hide=Help!!! My items wont buy!]It can happen that your items arent buying.

Make sure you wait 4 hours between buys. But, there also can be No sellers.

In my experience Rock-Shell keeps buying, Blue D'hide items and Rune items sell a bit less.[/hide]

[hide=A little calculation]If you put up 6 offers for 100 of any of the listed items you'd have 600 alchs per 4 hours! That means, 2400 A day if you have the money!

2400 x 65 exp = 156k FREE mage exp a day! It's great to get into the 80's with mage!

Remember, this is only if you have the money and if the items are Buying well.[/hide]

Please be patient in the Buying process, it can take some time.

This may be a little less fast, but its free and mostly, if you overnight you have a big chance all stuff bought.

This is a very good guide, lets me alch for free in my spare time, since it takes a while to buy the scims.

SOME people may fletch their yew longs.

What does it care? I dont need profit actually, I need exp basically and its free.

I just found the items that actually give that exp/gp profit.

Oh and what item(s?) make 32 gp each. If it's only one you can buy 100 per 4 hours.

I have more items that you can buy 100 of each every 4 hours. max. 600 per 4 hours vs max. 100 per 4 hours. sooo..?

Added thought: In my mind, it's *theorectly* possible to alch Dragon skirts for profiet. Great way to get the demand back up. :lol:

Great guide, it certainly beats having to fletch the yew longbows =] (Darn how I regret recently buying 2000 yew logs and bowstrings..)

If I change my mind and think that the extra 12gp is worth the 28xp per cast, I will go to your guide. But please bear in mind that not ALL guides are designed for people with less than 55 mage before you go and flame someone elses guide and advertise your own.

correct me if i'm wrong, but due to the speed differences between alching and enchinting, his method would be more profit per hr, plus more xp, nice guide :) might try sometime

Flamer and hi-jacker. Wow... anyways, I can actually rate your guide without having to be nice... Your guide sucks. His is by far better. His is short and accurate, yours is full of incorrect information. Did you know that even though you gain profit and xp, the xp RATE is significantly lower.

Anyway, great guide nop, its full of calculations and has items that most people wont consider alching.
