Range_This11
Well since Cyco is that last person post an actual movie, I will recommend...Lawrence of Arabia. Most people are scared away by it, but it is a beautiful and intriguing movie. My favorite actors are Kevin Spacey and Morgan Freeman. I mostly don't like horror too much, but I enjoy dramas or documentaries. Favorite director is definitely Darren Aronofsky. How2PK
Are we allowed to recommend porn? If you think that is necessary (or funny maybe?), go ahead. Range: Since you like Darren Aranofsky so much I will recommend you a movie that could fall in the Aranofsky categorie. It's called Clean, Shaven. The movie deals with a man who is a schizophrenic. He's been released from a mental institution, and goes 'home' to get back his daughter. The movie experiments a lot with sound, giving it a really uncomfortable atmosphere which is said to be similar to the experiences of a real schizophrenic. Also, the editing is done by Jay Rabinowitz; the man who is responsible for the cutting in the Aranofsky movies. The movie has been released on DVD by the Criterion Collection I haven't got any specific thing I like. Though it would be nice if movies like Crash (the Haggis film) and other hollywood-arthouse crossover movies could be avoided. Also the usual stuff isn't worth mentioning since the chance I already know that is pretty big. So. Obscure material, is what it comes down to. I think. But do whatever you want. :) Things that I am into at the moment: Luis Bunuel, W.C. Fields, Douglas Sirk, Andrei Tarkovsky, Dardenne Brothers, Nicholas Ray, Film Noir, Maya Deren, Satyajit Ray, Alfred Hitchcock, Terrence Mallick, Wes Anderson, Robert Altman. Ragen
This is like showing Jimi Hendrix how to play a simple chord. I recommend you Aristocats. Purely on the basis that you may not have seen it and I enjoyed it. It doesn't really have much in the way of artistic cinema, it's just a good cartoon movie. Thanks Venomai for this super sig and Kwimbob for the awesome avatar!

Yes_Its_Ross
I reccommend you watch the movie "Space Jam." It is a rather fantastic movie starring Michael Jordan featuring the Looney Tunes cast. This movie is really something you would enjoy... :P ]
Lenticular_J
That movie was awesome. And Ragen, that is a great movie. We need more real animation like that. Ross...Maybe Titan A.E. or Robin Hood. Both fantastic animated movies. Or, since we're allowed to recommend porn, Hot Chicks 19. Wow, that's probably a porn video, huh? >_< catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

scootlaboot
I recomend Boondock Saints. Possibly one of the best movies ever made. Phil
Short Circuit. Walle looks like Johnny Five's little brother. If you like Short Circuit, how about watching 'Batteries Not Included' ? What I'd like to see is something like "Cidade de Dues" or similar. True story if possible. English or not, doesn't matter. Documentaries would be good too. Harakiri
Hmm...well...the only documentary I saw was "The war". It was long as hell but very very good.
