Azvareth
Yeah, I have no freaking idea who the 5 best are, but my top-5(/11) favourites are: 1. Dave Gilmour (Pink Floyd) 2. Janick Gers (Iron Maiden) 3. Jimmy Hendrix (Jimmy Hendrix) 4 Dimebag Darrel (Pantera, Damage Plan) 5. Dave Mustaine (Megadeth) (6). Joe Satriani (Joe Satriani) (7). Tommi Sartanen (Twilightning) (8.) Alexi Laiho (Children Of Bodom) (9.) Randall "Randy" Rhoads (Quite Riot, Ozzy Osbourne) (10.) Jimmy Page (Led-Zeppelin) (11.) Timo Tolkki (Stratovarius) Sorry, for adding an extra 5, couldn't narrow it down, heh. [edit] [cabbage], forgot about Dimebag. Had him in my mind when I wrote, but then forgot to add him... // Azvi. Rizla
Hmmmmm, this is difficult, not sure i can put them in order so here's a general top 5 Jerry Cantrell (Alice In Chains Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society, Ozzy Osbourne) Dimebag (Pantera, Damageplan) Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine, Audioslave) Mark Morton/Willie Adler (Lamb Of God) i'm not sure who plays which parts but they're both insane guitarists. I'm pretty sure that list would change if you asked me again tomorrow, but sod it. Kirk and Lars I could handle. At the same time.
Pete_the_Viscous
In no particular order: Dave Gilmour Eric Clapton Brian May Jimmy Page Joe Satriani Tony Iommi "He who plays guitar for Metallica", whose name I don't know. "He who plays for Thin Lizzy", I know Garry Moore did, but so did Brian Robertson; I'm not sure which I'm talking about. deviantart account
How2PK
I'm not really an expert, but: David Gilmoure Joe Satriani Blackmore Eric Clapton Frank Zappa Jimmy Page Jimi Hendrix That dude from Iron Maiden. Hmpf, Azvy just informed that Iron Maiden has got three guitar dudes, so let me rephrase: Those three dudes from Iron Maiden. That dude from Guns 'n Roses That dude from Metallica That Japanese dude from Dragonforce and some more that I can't think of at the moment. Edit: Robert Cray, he's some blues dude. He doesn't plays pretty good I think, nothing really awesome or spectacular as those named above, but I though I'd metion him, since most probably won't know him, and I want to promote him. :) Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore! Danabis
Metallica = Kirk Hammett Guns 'n' Roses = Slash As for Thin Lizzy, they had alot of guitarists. But in my mind Gary Moore was easily the best of them. His blues work is so awesome.
