A guide to killing flax picking autoers

Ever been mad at those pesky bots? Want to get your revenge on them without entering the wilderness to kill those green dragon autoers? You can still have the satisfaction of watching them die by killing flax autoers! ThatÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s right, like killing yew tree autoers you lure them into an aggressive monster. Read on to find how you can start killing flax autoers today!

 

 

 

Requirements

 

• [*:2ohigjz1]Three or more friends including yourself who are 55 combat or above

How it works

 

 

 

Most flax autoers work on a program that identifies certain colors in the game. Once the program has detected the colors green and cyan(the colors of a flax flower), it will click in that square(clicking on the flax flower) and will repetitively click until the two colors disappear.

 

 

 

You can use this program to your advantage. If you dress up like a flax flower, with green and cyan, you can actually make the autoing program think you are a flax flower. And what happens when the program detects these colors? They click in that spot, and since there is no flax flower actually there, the autoer will simply walk onto your square.

 

 

 

If you continually move in a direction, the autoer will follow you because the program still thinks youÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re a flax flower. It is very hard, though, do to this with one person. If you try to do it alone you will have a lot of trouble trying to get the autoer out of the field. The program detects that you are only one flax flower, and there are many in the field area, so the program wonÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t always go after you if you are alone.

 

 

 

 

 

Equipment

 

 

 

 

To look like a flax flower youÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll need some good equipment. The two colors you are mainly looking for is a pure cyan and a darkish green.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Green robes can be bought in the fremennik clothes shop. To access the shop you must have completed fremennik trails, but anyone can wear them, quest or not. If you havenÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t done the quest get your friend or someone else to buy you a pair. A cyan cape is also a good tool, get that from the shop too.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Next, go to the grand tree shop. This shop sells cyan hats and boots, good attire to trick those autoers. Purchase both of these.

 

 

 

As for the gloves, ice gloves will work the best. They are the perfect tone of cyan. Of course, you will need to complete heroÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s quest to obtain these, and they are untradable. If you have lost them you must kill the Ice queen again.

 

 

 

If you cannot, for some reason, obtain these items, here are some alternatives. Note, though, that the equipment above works the best.

 

 

 

Cyan gnome hat > green fremennik hat

 

Green fremennik top > green dragonhide top > cyan gnome top

 

Cyan fremennik cape > green fremennik cape

 

Ice gloves > green fremennik gloves

 

Green fremennik bottom > green dragonhide chaps > cyan gnome bottom

 

Cyan gnome boots > green fremennik boots

 

 

 

 

 

Procedures

 

 

 

Once you and your friends have all their equipment ready, head on over to the flax fields in SeerÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s village.

 

 

 

Your objective here is to lead one or more autoers to the bat area just south of the flax fields. These bats are level 27 and aggressive to anyone under 55 combat. This is why it is necessary your friends do not have below 55 combat.

 

 

 

Here is the path you should take to the bats from the flax field:

 

 

 

 

Red: Path

 

Purple: Area where autoer will be attacked

 

Yellow: Bats (level 27)

[*:2ohigjz1]Get your friends to stand south of you. It doesnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t matter if they are on top of one and other, just get them a few squares spread out south of you.
 
[*:2ohigjz1]Eventually an autoer will detect several flax flowers outside the field and walk towards you and your friends. Most autoers will walk, rarely any of them are programmed to run. If youÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re lucky you might score more than one autoer.
 
[*:2ohigjz1]seph_ir_oth has informed me that he believes actually standing a couple of squares just north of that position will work better. This is untested though.
 
 
 

 
 
 
[*:2ohigjz1]Now, using the map above follow the red path to the purple area. To do this slowly inch yourself forward a few squares along with your friends. Do it slowly only inching a few squares every few seconds. If you go to fast the autoer will run back to the flax fields.
 
[*:2ohigjz1]24_7_ko has informed by that shouting "cyan: flax" and "green: flax" ingame will also help.
 

 
 
 
[*:2ohigjz1]Try to stay within three squares of the autoer. Sometimes if someone is not close by the autoer, he/she will run back to the flax fields. If this ever happens just try again.
 
[*:2ohigjz1]Have one friend behind the autoer at all times. If the autoer makes a run for it, your friend might have a chance at stopping him.
 
[*:2ohigjz1]ItÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s okay to have some friends on top of each other, but itÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s more effective if you have your friends spread out a little.
 
 
 

 
 
 
[*:2ohigjz1]Now, once you have hit the purple area you should be in range of a bat. There are usually one or two bats flying around the northern area.
 
[*:2ohigjz1]Now slowly lead the autoer to a bat. If the autoer is close enough to the bat, the bat will start attacking it.
 
 
 

 
 
 
[*:2ohigjz1]Most autoers have auto-retaliate on. In this trick we use that to our advantage.
 
[*:2ohigjz1]At this point have your friends completely surround the autoer while the bat is attacking. The bat should easily over-power the autoer. If the autoer tries to make a run for it, he will most likely be stopped by your friends and come back to the fight, thinking there are several flax flowers in the area.
 
[*:2ohigjz1]Some autoers have been known to run back to the flax field at half health or below. Try not to get too frustrated if this happens, just get another autoer and try again.

 

If all goes well, you just rid the community of one more autoer! :D

Haha, but I don't think that would work. I think the programmers are smart enough not to run the program on identifying colors. :wink:

 

 

 

I do admit though I would all those free arrows and whips :P

I know how they scan for colors (did some bot making for Diablo 2), and they most likely look for the CYAN color, starting from the top left of their screen to the bottom right. My second guess is their compass faces north (just a wild guess). SO, keeping that in mind, its best for you lurer's to start from the northwestern area, and then try to lead them westward.

 

 

 

The above info is good if you are doing it alone, however, if you have a lot of people as he suggested, I'm sure it's easier to catch them

I've tried it myself like a few weeks ago :) It worked, i also killed Rune Buyers/Autoers :shock: Guess what i got! :thumbsup: Death and Chaos runes worth over 400k, yay! (1.3k chaos, and 850 death runes, well not exactly 850, don't remember :wall:) :thumbsup:

does this color thing work for green dragon autoers too? i wanna skull them :)
