  1. Ahhh, it was nothing. Glad to help, Pandaman.
  2. Accurate is just more .. accurate. Here, put it this way. Rapid hits less often, but shoots more often. Accurate is the opposite. Since a crystal bow only has a certain number of shots before it dies, Rapid is more -time effective- training while Accurate is more -cost effective- training. More bang for your buck, I guess. It all depends on how much you value your recharge money.
  3. Belief in things like "Magic" or "God" or is for the weak. It's for people who can't get through life on their own strength, and so they rely on their "God" to guide them. It's for people who can't cope with the idea that after you die you don't go to a better place, you go in the ground. Maybe it works for some people, but in my opinion "Morals" are a liability.
  4. As my mom is constantly reminding me, I can't even support myself. Nah, just kidding. No clue what the hell you guys are talking about though.

Consider this ... Chaos theory pretty much, like what's his face says, is just extreme sensitivity to initial conditions of a given situation. If you believe in evolution, and chaos theory, then you pretty much concede that 2-3 misplaced oxygen molecules in the prehistoric Earth's atmosphere could have led to mankind developing into creatures completely different from what we are today. Isn't that fun? Whatever .. I believe in fate, in any case. It's just so damn convenient.
  6. The only time sound would help is when you're trying to locate him, and he attacks you before you can see him. I'd say turn on ranged protect, and then listen for the mage sound effect. This will have a better chance of success, since you can hear the mage sound effect before the actual attack hits you, buy the range sound effect is only like, 0.5 seconds before the actual damage is done.
  7. Who's "we"? Are you, perhaps, some many headed hydra? Are you that one half-robot thing from Godzilla?
  8. Christ .. half keys and spirit seeds? I'm getting over there before they nerf that. :)
  9. Yeah, except I intentionally left out metal dragons. I'll add the Ogre Enclave as a location for blue dragons, but see I don't care if this doesn't help anyone. The point was I was bored and wanted to type something.
  10. Hey hey, it's Kashi, that one girl from the forums that some of you know, and I'm here to tell you about hunting dragons. The average dragon hunter makes good to great money (up to 1m a day for the dedicated), but few know how to do this efficiently. There is, of course, a certain risk involved, but no pain no gain .. wait, that's not right. Umm .. you have to spend money to make money. No no, wait! I have the right metaphor ... "Nothing ventured, nothing gained." Start with the basics. -Equipment- For melee Helm: Balance mage-melee defense Amulet: For wilderness dragons use a Strength ammy. Otherwise glory/fury. Body: Melee defense is important, of course. Rune body will do it. Legs: Most people go with D'Hide legs for the combined mage-melee defense. Boots: Not really important, although climbing boots increase your strength slightly. Gloves: RFD gloves reccomended, but for wilderness use rune or below. No need to risk 130k. Ring: Ring of wealth, if you want, but I prefer life. Less to lose, plus some pker insurance. Weapon: In order, the best options are; Whip, D'Scimmy, D'Long, D'Dagger. Shield: Take your handy-dandy Dragonfire shield or you may as well stay home. For range Helm: Archer's helm > Robin hood hat > Blue Party Hat (j/k) Amulet: Amulet of Fury > Amulet of Glory > Unholy symbol Body: Karil's top > D'Hide body Legs: Karil's skirt > D'Hide legs Boots: Ranger boots > Snakeskin boots Gloves: Dark Gloves > Dragon Gloves > D'Hide vambraces Ring: Ring of wealth > Ring of Charos =P Weapon: Crystal Bow > Magic Shortbow > Throwing weapon Shield: DF shield > None, if you're using an actual bow. -Inventory- A teleport method, of course. I personally use tele-tablets, but an ectophial or just plain runes are fine too. I myself bring a strength potion, but it's certainly not necessary. I also bring a secondary weapon for the special attack (I bring a DDS with my whip for the special attack) but this isn't necessary either. If you're going into the wilderness, don't bring anything you can't afford to lose. FOOD! Food, of course, is important, but you also face a dilemma here. How much food is enough? I myself can kill my alotted 25 G.dragons per run with just 10 monkfish, but I recall that as a newb I used at least 1 lobster per G.Dragon. You want to have enough food to take down your dragons, but you don't want to bring so much that you are wasting food just to make space for bones/hides. The best advice I can give is KNOW YOUR LIMITS! Know just how much damage you'll take from each dragon, and you wont run short -or- waste food. Now for the actual dragon killing! -=-Green Dragons-=- Level: 79 Locations: None outside the wilderness. You've got the burnt wasteland in 10-15 wild, just southwest of the Dark Warrior's fort. You've got the dragons just north of the Graveyard of Shadows in 20-25 wild, almost directly north of Edgeville. You've got the various other locations scattered around the wild, although none of them are very used. You even have the dragons on the far eastern edge of the wild, in about 20 wild. Strategy: Nothing that difficult. Keep your DF shield on at all times, of course. Your primary concern will be pkers. Because the most popular dragon area (The burnt pit thingy) is in a depression in the ground, you wont be able to see pkers scattered around the rim until it's too late! My advice; When you see white dots around the rim, keep your hand on your tele. Learn to recognize the sound of the teleblock spell. If you start getting your but kicked, try to run just southeast of the pit into the mining area full of skeletons. Engage combat with a skeleton, then turn off auto-retaliate. With the skeleton attacking you, pkers can't touch you. Then the monastery is just a short run south, where you can restore your hitpoints and prayer. If worst comes to worst, turn on item protect and resign yourself to the inevitable. -=-Blue Dragons-=- Level: 111 Locations: Not as many as the Green Dragons, but still enough to make them decent money. You have a lone dragon underneath the Hero's guild, but it is almost always occupied, and unless you have a super-fact computer and lightning reflexes, prepare yourself for a long stretch of waiting. There is also a large group of dragons in the massive Taverly Dungeon, but you need a dusty key to access them. (for information on the dusty key, check Tip.it's 'Heroes Quest' guide. That's .. all I can think of at the moment. There are also 5-6 scattered around the Ogre Enclave south of Yanille (Watchtower Quest required [or at least needs to be started]) Strategy: Because Blue Dragons are considerably stronger than Green Dragons, they are usually ranged. Magic is not recommended, since all dragons have ungodly mage defense. In the Hero's guild the dragon is in a cage, which makes for easy ranging (just shut the door). Since there are usually other peopple here, bring a few casts-worth of your favorite low level spell (wind strike is a good one) to attract the attention of the dragon. Once you've cast a spell on it, nobody else can steal that specific dragon, leaving you a good 5-6 second window to right click and start ranging. The same strategy is recommended for the dragons underneath Taverley, although safespots are a -tiny-bit- less obvious (no sarcasm, they're still easy to use). Hide behind dragon eggs, stalagmites, or anything the dragons can't walk past. This place is usually crowded too, but there are plenty of spawns to go around. Underneath the ogre city of Gu'Tanoth you can find several Blue Dragons just waiting to be ranged. The same rules apply to these as the other dragons; bring a Dragonfire shield just in case, maybe 2-3 pieces of food (although the experienced probably wont even be hit, not even a 0) and your best ranged equipment. To get into this area, you need to have done the Watchtower quest. Go into the ogre city and talk to an Enclave Guard. Tell him you want to enter the area. Once inside, there are plenty of dragons to range or hally, as well as some Greater Demons in a cage. This place usually has only 1-2 people at the most, and Yanille is nearby for easy banking*. WARNING: Do not attack an Ogre Shaman (found in the enclave area) for any reason! They will kick your [wagon]. *Recommended that you finish Watchtower quest so you can teleport to the Watchtower, or move your house to Yanille so you can teleport to that. 50+ range is strongly recommended, to the point of being a requirement. -=-Red Dragons-=- Level: 152 Locations: Only found in two places across RuneScape. First, in the lava maze deeeeep out in the wild. This is not a good idea, since pkers, although not exactly rampant in this area, are scattered around. Not to mention there is only one spawn out here, so it's slow going. There are also several Red Dragons in the MASSIVE dungeon underneath Brimhaven. To get here you will need some amount of GP to pay for entrance to the dungeon (less than 1k) and a woodcutting axe for chopping the vines just inside. Even though there are several easily useable safe spots for the Brimhavem dragons, the Wild Dogs (lv63) will attack you no matter where you go, making ranging difficult. Strategy: If you choose to melee, you'll want to maximize your melee defense and use a DF shield and anti-fire potions. If you find them too difficult even after that, Protect from Melee (43 prayer) is an option, although prayer pots are just one more thing you have to spend money on. If you range, then bring some food and a DF shield anyway, just in case. The Wild Dogs in Brimhaven are an annoyance, but not really dangerous except to the exceptionally low level players. If you go with the Wilderness dragons, bring some food and a DF shield anyway (again, just in case). All in all, Red Dragons are not recommended for the serious dragon slayer. The locations are hard to access, the dragons are almost too strong to melee, and without a high ranged level (70+) you'll find yourself missing at least half of your shots. -=-Black Dragons-=- Level: 227 Locations: As with the Red Dragons, there are only two locations in all of RuneScape. There are two dragons deep within the Taverley dungeon (past the black demons, near the hellhounds) and 5-6 in the Evil Chicken's lair (for more information check Tip.it's 'Recipe for Disaster' quest guide). Strategy: The dragons in the Taverley dungeon both have safespots for ranging, which is the most effective method of killing the mighty Black Dragon. These safespots can also be used for halberds as well, but the Black Dragons' melee defense is ... formidable, to say the least. As with the Red Dragons, unless you have a very high range level (80+) you'll find yourself missing all too often. Black Dragons have a reasonably high rate of Dragon Medium drops, although certainly not as high as the KBD. The dragons in the Evil Chicken's lair (requires a raw chicken to enter) can be ranged or hallied also, but the safespots are harder to utilize. There is a narrow path off the main chamber near the entrance, which you can stand in and range the closest dragon. You can also stand in the wide passage opposite the portal entrance. Once you're in a safe spot, right-click and start ranging, then grab a good book or browse the Tip.it forums, because you're in for a long wait. WARNING: If you use the Evil Chicken's lair, make sure you wear your DF shield and Protect from Melee upon entrance, since the dragons sometimes stand near the entrance. And that's about all you need to know. Here's an added bonus guide: Dragon Drop prices. Dragon Bones: 2.2-2.5k Green Hides: 1.6-1.8k Blue Hides: 1.9-2.2k Red Hides: ??? 11. This is the way I play .. I have a good example from yesterday. 1. I'm talking to this guy I met named [something]. I look up his stats, he has 99 str. He says he went from 84 to 99 in a week and a half doing PC. I think, "Hey, I'm already at 86 str!! I'll do that!!". 2. I check the Heart Unit forums. They're still not up and running, so I join Affliction. After doing 2-3 rounds, I check RAHK's expert PC guide just for fun. 3. I look at the list of primary gear. Among other things, it shows Barrows Gloves. So I do this ... I go fish 1,500 lobsters so I can get my cooking lvl to 70 so I can finish the monkey part of RFD so I can fight the final bosses so I can wear Barrows Gloves. I finally did that, so now I sell my Dharok Axe and some other things, buy a whip and an Obby shield, and now I'm killing Green Dragons to earn enough money to buy the rest of the premium gear. So from talking with my friend to killing about 2,000 G. Dragons ... That's pretty much how I play RS -all the time-, and it's gotten me this far. So add a new choice that says ... Combateur Skiller Quester Complete [developmentally delayed] - (1)
  12. Just like lit bullseye-lanters. You can only trade the un-activated form, because Jagex wants you to have the stats for yourself if you want the pleasure of using these items.
  13. I think we determined that 1 Qp = 1 second in the cave. And I'm pretty sure we also figured out that 1 tear = 60 xp. So like, the largest amount of xp somebody could possibly receive in the scope of reality is just under 12k.
  14. Hey, where is that one PS calculator that that one guy made? I've searched for it all over the place, but I just can't find it.
  15. Yeah hey, the reason maul price declined so much was because of the change in the special attack ..
  16. Couldn't you just ... You know, buy like 3k runite bars at 11k ea, smith them into rune legs, alch them, and that's like 5m profit right there?
  17. Not so! I killed it on my pure strength! (1 def) I took lobs ... had to mostly kill the dragon, go back and bank for more food, then go back to Crandor and finish him off.
  18. You are 100% right. Here are the reasons that they aren't priced "correctly". 1. They are great xp. People will continue to fish and cook them regardless of whether the price is 10gp ea or 10k ea. The xp and healing value to the fisher/cooker is just too great to ignore. 4. They are "easily" obtained. While this seems to conflict with 3 it actually compliments it and aligns with 1. Because of their fast catching there are a lot more caught than the demand can consume. If they gave more xp and were slower to catch (but the same average xp per hour total) then this would lower the supply greatly which would match the demand better. 5. Swordfish are over-priced. They are one of the hardest food to fish since they bring in tuna as well. You can't catch as many swordfish an hour as lobs/monks regardless of levels or tactics due to this fact. That, combined with the fact that they are the best food on f2p, greatly inflates their price comparitivly. Using lobs vs. sharks would be a more accurate depiction but your point still stands (just not quite as extremely so). I, sadly, don't see monks rising above 350-400 ea (max) anytime soon due to the above reasons. That's what I said! You just said it more .. eloquently.
  19. Yeah, but monkfish catch very quickly, and unlike swordfish you don't get half tuna/half swords. Monkfish burn less often (unless you have cooking gaunts) are closer to a bank than most swordfish-ing spots (except the guild of course). Although if you really look at it ... Lobsters are 200 ea, they heal 12. Monkfish are 300 ea, they heal 16. Sharks are 900 each, they heal 20. Since monkfish heals the amount right between lobsters and sharks, they should be priced as such. In my opinion a fair price for monkfish would be 500-600 each. But I'm not complaining .. cheap, effective food. It rocks.
  20. Ahh sorry!! Stupid laggy computer made me double-post!
  21. I'm glad so many people agreed with me! Maybe I'll go take a bottle of pills, and then be buried with a laptop so I can tell you what happens after you're dead. But .. oh no! No wireless internet when you're 6 feet underground!! Yeah, don't take that seriously .. some admin will probably say, "Don't joke about things like that!!" but to me, death is a joke.
  22. I dunno' ... monkfish! Dragon axe & extra teak/mahogany! Uhhh ... More gem rocks.
  23. Fantastic .. if you had ruby bolts you could hit like, 60's on him, but why bother? The special is so rare that by the time you got it even once you could've killed him the regular way with a Crystal Bow.
  24. Clan support? Jagex already made clan support .. that was what wildy capes were. I know wildy capes blow, but that was their attempt, anyway.
  25. Well that's cool then. So apparently they're -not- making it a normal drop from monsters, and it -is- only from tree spirits. Alright, good. question answered.
