I agree that Jagex's answer was blow-ful, but to answer the question ... No. Edit: Well to go even further in depth, here. The way Jagex's letter answering system works is -probably- something like this. Since Jagex receives thousands of letters a day, they simply don't have the man-power to read them and answer them all personally. An automated program will scan the text in your query, search for certain keywords, and then send an automated reply based on what it finds. I bet if I send a query to Jagex with just the words "experience, gain, month, keep" I'd get a response identical to yours.

In -MY- opinion, there's no reason to even discuss it before it comes out, because there's about a 1% chance of anyone coming close to the truth.

I'm going to take a guess and say ... New prayers. The category-1 mage prayer increases the max hit of your spells by 1. Category-2 increases max hit by 2, and then category-3 increases it by 3. As for rangers, a prayer that increases accuracy to 90+%, and a totally seperate prayer that increases max hit by x%. (That way you can't increase accuracy and max hit at the same time.) I dunno', if you look at the crossbow thread that was made before the update, I pretty much called the whole crossbow thing. Maybe I'll be right ... again!

Well, I got my first woodcutting level when I was on the tutorial island, and I haven't gotten a nest so far (65 woodcutting), so I'd say ... Ohh, about 2 years

I'm 90% sure that it's for Merlin's Crystal quest. I know the actual crate is the candle dude's thing, but I believe that one is meant as a decoy, you know? So when you're looking around for a crate to hide in you go "Oh hey, maybe this one!" but then you're all like "DAMN!". Might just be me though.

That's because it porbably does get faster. The more you do something, the more you familiarize yourself with screen patterns, where to click, etc. It's called increasing your efficiency!

At 77 range I can still hit 18 with my Crystal bow ... The new bolts might be fun for pking or monster hunting, but they'll never replace Crystal/Cannon as a standard for training.

Just one thing to say. As 99% of you already know, Jagex released a line of enchantable crossbow bolts today, as well as some more powerful crossbows. I just have one question though. How many bolts can one gem make? Because unless it's something like 10k, does Jagex honestly believe that people will waste onyx, that gem that costs over 4m (300k tokkul), on making arrows? C'mon!

Sorry Rahk, you'd get the kill every time. But then I think I could trust you to share the drop if it happened to be something of value. If you do want to come, I'd be glad to put you on the list. Rather have a lv 111 I can trust than a lvl 100 who I can't.

Yeah, it took 50% actually but it's the same thing. I remember .. and I will never forget this. I watched a pure ranger out in the dragon pit area attack a warrior with the special on his shortbow. 22-19! 20-8! Dead! And this ranger was only lvl 70 something ... the most hardcore type of pure ranger. And he hit that on a lvl 60-something in full rune! I was a newb collectin green hides for money ... anyway it was really cool.

Hey, what if you enchant the bolts like you do jewelry, with brand new enchant spells, and each type of bolt has a different special effect. Like the higher level bolts would drain magic, or freezes for like 5 seconds, or whatever. And the better metal the bolt is made out of, the better enchantment it can hold. So you can't enchant a bronze bolt to hit through prayer, or an iron bolt to have a never-miss effect. If Jagex plays this right it really could be a good update. Do you realize the import of this? A f2p one-handed range weapon! Now pure rangers can do D. Slayer! Although I guess they couldn't because they'd gain levels from the quest reward ... but still! I'm looking forward to this. :)

Very nice. :) But about the "longish read" part; Just because it takes you 15 minutes to type doesn't mean it takes 15 minutes to read. And since every other verse is the same as the last ... That's not meant to be a mean comment though.

It's fun to see such an apparently experienced player get something like this wrong ... :D The island is "Karamja", not "Karajima". And as far as molten glass, another place with a furnace very close to a bank is in Shilo Village. (Shilo Village quest required to enter.)
