Today...
I think it's a bit early for it to be having these issues. My car is 10 years old, and I passed the 298 000Km mark today and it still runs without any issues. I did have to put some repairs on it, but never much. Most expensive thing that is going to need replacing soon is the clutch, which is still the original, that's starting to slip a little bit. Then again I think you have a very good truck if it lasted that long without more than what you say :). I would have to ask if you live in a cold climate where the roads are frequently and heavily salted. The problem this time was something sticky made its way into the shifter housing as was causing something to stick. All they had to do was clean and lubricate it and it works fine. It lost its alternator a few months back, so its running a rebuilt one now. It also lost its ability to shift at all a while back when the clips that attach the shifter to the transmission rusted off. I don't think its ever broken anything major, just all these stupid little things. I would also like to point out that 10 years and 300,000 km is atypical most cars, at least ones around here. The climate is too hard on them Nova Scotia for cars to last that long without developing some issues. I did have a nice Mercedes for a summer (a C36 AMG) that was at least 15 years old at the time, and it ran quite well. It had 3 problem. First, the headrest in the back was broken (it wouldn't fold down at the touch of a button). Second was that it had almost no freon in its AC, which made its very weak and kind of hit or miss on if it would cool you down at all (which was awesome for a dark car with black interior). Its third problem was that it was very slowly leaking oil from the piston housing. We suspect someone put it back on wrong (tightened the bolts out of order, or one to much before doing the others) and gave it a miniscule bend. Lovely car though. A bit scary at red lights because its air cooling wasn't quite enough, so you could see the engine temperature go up, and then fall as soon as it started moving.

Real life help & advice
About the breathing thing... Admittedly, I suck as a distance runner. One of my major problems was stitches. I used a breathing technique that helps keep them away for longer (I still tend to get them though, but not nearly as fast as I used to), and the trick is to synchronize your inhaling and exhaling with your foot steps. First, pick a foot. I use my left because I start with my right, and it gives me a step to get ready. On step one with your chosen foot, start to inhale, and continue to inhale until your 3rd step with that same foot, at which point you start to exhale the second it touches the ground, and continue for the 4th step with that foot, and then restart the count at 1 on that foots next step, and repeat. As a point of personal preferance, I inhale through my mouth and exhale through my nose. Since I never willingly run further than 200m, it doesn't matter to me if that is 'right' or not. I don't know if inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth helps with stitches even more, but I find breathing in through my nose to restrictive.

Cold Showers
But it's at it's best when it's freezing! Very curious to see how it feels when it's -20 outside. If icicles are hitting your chest, you're doing it wrong. Real men don't take cold showers. Real men take showers in a hail storm

Prosititution
Drug problems, slavery and trafficking aside, I can't say I actually have any issues with prostitution at all, moral or otherwise. I also feel that if it were legal, then more could be done to handle things like slavery and trafficking, because people would be able to ask for help without fear of being arrested. The government does less to give them access to help and ways to stay healthy than they do for drug addicts (things like needle exchanges - no questions asked and totally free), which is actually something they could do without legalizing it if they wanted. They just need some provisions in the law to keep them from being arrested if they seek some sort of help from the police. Something that might allow them to trust the law and be willing to seek help. I do feel this is an industry that would probably benefit more from full legalization and regulation, then trying to ignore it. As an aside, I find societies view on sex in general to be totally baffling. This is something that most people do, or have done, and yet we can't talk about it in public. Same with masturbation. Most people (on this continent at least) do it (no pun intended), yet no one talks about it. This would make as much sense to me as no one talking about sleeping; acting like sleeping was something to be ashamed of (with the difference being that sleep deprivation is bigger deal to your health than sex deprivation).

Post pictures of your pets here
Loving the what I'm guessing is a tarantula (no arachnophobia over here). And yes, their both pure border collies. Also, I am at my parents now so I might be able to get some better pictures. Problem is the younger one will try to get me to scratch him the second I aim a camera at him, so I have to wait until hes lying down and doesn't really want to move. If I'm lucky, he'll do he seal impression (he gets both him front legs under him so that it looks like he doesn't have any, and he can get at least one rear leg under the same way, so that from at least one side he looks like he has no legs).

Today...
Busy day, which was actually a nice thing. Shopping is all done, and I found the exact rope I was looking for which is awesome. Our SUV has also decided that it can't shift out of park without using the manual unlocking mechanisim (you stick the key down a hole). So Dad is gonna call the dealer tomorrow to see if they have an idea what the problem is, and how long I can expect the manual release to work for. If its a quick fix, I'll take it in tomorrow, and if not then it will go in when we don't need it (once I am back at school). I love that truck, but at 7 years and almost 230,000 km on it, its having some reliability issues. They finally managed to make it stop clunking at all though, which I love.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Duff: You have every reason to be cautious if your going to get back into it with that girl, from what I remember of the last time you talked about it. I guess my advice would be that if you go for it, and invite her back into your life a bit, you need to be prepared for it not working out. If your not going to be able to take it, or you find yourself being certain that things are going to work too soon (you'll have to use some judgement here, but I guess a month or two at least should give you enough time to have a hope of being semi-objective), then you probably need to back off and abandon this. On the other hand, I suspect you still have feelings for her if you've not started trying to date someone else, so I also suspect that if you don't go for this, your going to look back on it later and wonder what might have been. But again, don't go for this if your not going to be able to handle a full on rejection. Boros: Dinner and a show sounds lovely to me. Some of it depends on the girl of course. The only point of caution with a comedy show would be I hope you have some idea of what her sense of humor is like. You don't want to get her offended. Then again, I find having a similar sense of humor to be fairly key to a harmonious relationship. Under the assumption that the ultimate goal is a happy life together, you can probably kiss happiness goodbye if neither of you can say a joke without pissing the other person off, so this might be a good way to figure out if your compatible or not. fakeitormakeit2: Walk away. You did more than could have been expected of you, and you have been more than understanding, and she has thrown it back in your face. Depression or not, the way she has treated you and everyone else that used to be in her life is...just terrible. You don't need a person like that in your life. It sounds like you did what you could to try and help her, and she has decided to refuse that help. Don't throw your life away too trying to make things better. Whatever happens to her is on her and her new friends, not you. Find someone that will make you happy, not someone who needs you to be happy. That kind of dependency just doesn't work.

Today...
My parents finally got new mini to replace the one the deer jumped into (the repairs would have been a lot more than the car was worth). I really like the newer mini's (the old was was first generation, where it had parts from multiple manufacturers, where this one is pure BMW). It's also the first brand new car we have had in my lifetime I think. My parents normally get them second hand because you can get really nice vehicles that way for a lot less, if you don't mind having a few kilometers on them. Anywho, this Mini is a huge improvement on the old one. The engine has noticeably more power even though its the same size. It feels like driving a big go-cart  And finishing up Christmas shoping tomorrow. I have most of it done, but I am making a bunch of monkey fist knots for my Mom as tree decorations, and I still need to find a good rope (need something about 1/8 inch so that I can work with the rope, but not end up with a knot that is too big or heavy). Don't have a clue where I am going to find it, but I guess that adds to the fun.

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
I went green on the 15th of this month (so this is day 5 for me). I dislike speedlimits that are unreasonably slow. There is a speed for every road that "feels right". Excepting roads where there are a lot of houses, like residential streets, I would really like it if the speed limits were set close to that feels right speed (and for the most part, I find they are). Residential streets are an exception because it would be easily to drive at speed safely while totally ignoring the fact that there are a lot of children about. The speed limit on one of the roads I have to take to get to my parents was lowered, and its painful to try and match it (it was lowered on the complain of 3 [bleep]ing people, without any evidence to show that people were driving at unsafe speeds, and totally ignoring the fact that the only accidents we get on the road are in winter, and occur in conditions so bad that everyone is going like half the speed limit already). I also hate it when people complain about things that they really have no reason to compain about (the people who got the speed limit lowered all live right next to the highway, so they are on the road for a grand total of less than a minute, they haven't been in any accidents on that road, and they don't have children still living at home) :-X

Increasing RS frame rate
+1 on the HP laptops have a knack for getting seriously hot. I'ver seriously contemplated taking this one outside in the winter so that I can bring its CPU up to full power (I've been running it at half, but I think I am going to do some testing and see if I can't get it up to 70 or 80). More to the point, the only thing you could do without upgrading your hardware is use task manager to set your browser and java to a higher priority (above normal should be enough). Just don't go overboard and set them to real time, or you run a very real risk of your computer running out of resources to maintain its operating system (especially if your processor is normally getting close to 100% already). Above normal shouldn't cause that. I also feel like the game itself is limited in what it can do based on its own programmed constraints, regardless of how powerful your computer might be. My PC is a 6 core @ 2.9 GHz, with 12 (or 16, I forget and I don't have access right now) GB of RAM, with an ATI HD 6770 GPU. All things considered, it runs Crysis 2 better at maxed settings than it does with RuneScape, and Crysis 2 is a much more demanding game. RuneScape doesn't cause the PC any trouble at all, yet it still can't maintain a fps above 50 in most areas of the game (it will only really get above 50 in empty areas when I am not moving). Not that I care, since nothing in RuneScape actually moves fast enough to make this noticeable until your down to 20 - 25 fps. It's just interesting that it slows down when nothing on my computer is even trying (half the time it only uses one core to run the game, normally at 90%, sometimes it will split it up though, so its not like it wont if it needs to).

[NOW IMPLEMENTED!] View Mobile Version On Desktop System?
Since I imagine the mobile version of the site would be a lot slimmer (side to side), I think this would actually be useful, even for those of us who run computers that don't give a flying [bleep] how many programs and web browsers we happen to be running. I like to keep the game window as large as possible. If it can't fit itself in at at maybe 200 pixels, its not going to be run side by side with my game window, because every pixel used up by anything else on the screen is one less pixel of game I get to enjoy, and that's not cool. Considering that this is a pretty simple feature to add, and that it actually has a valid use, I think it should be given a chance.

I can't play RuneScape.
It might be a problem limited to my computer, but I know at least for me youtube is at least part of the problem. It doesn't cause the game to crash, what it does is lock up the youtube tab (so that if your on it, clicking stuff does nothing at all), and disable your ability to switch tabs. So if I am on the game screen when it happens, no big deal, it wont kill me. But if I am on youtube when it locks, then its task manager time. And I think I described it wrong above because its been a while since I used the laptop, but being on it again has reminded me of its 'quirks'. Anyway, glad to hear the client is working for you. Might try it myself since I am not huge on the idea of switching this machine over to chrome, but I really like my youtube.

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
Oh, that reminds me. I cant stand it when other people try to tidy things up for me. I am not a very organized person, particularly not when it comes to physical objects (I am much better with files on the computer). There are specific items, my phone, wallet, and house keys, that have very specific places, because I got tired of looking for them in the morning. But for a lot of things, the only reason I can find them is either because I remember where I put things, or because I know how I think and can generate a short list of places to search. The second someone moves anything, I have neither to go by, so things that are put away by other people might as well be on the moon.

Lumbridge tasks
Non members can enchant amulets, from sapphire through to diamond. If you are unable to enchant a sapphire amulet (not necklace), then one of the following must be true: a) You don't have the required magic level b) It's already enchanted (its an amulet of magic, and not a sapphire amulet) c) It's not strung Also, if memory servers (and I might be wrong, its been a while), you have to make and enchant the amulet yourself in the Lumbridge area.

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
Agreed. I got a pair of bose earbuds last year for Christmas, and aside from having the best sound quality of every headset I have ever tried in my life, they are still performing exactly as well as the day I got them, despite being dropped and being flung into the side of my desk every time I trip on the cord. They also don't seem to mind the weather at all. The only problem with earbuds is that due to their location covering your ear canal, they are more prone to causing hearing damage. And I hate being forced to use my laptop, which happens every time I return to my parents. I've gotten used to my PC, which replaced it as my primary computer, and I really enjoy the vastly superior performance. Also, being around my parents bugs me a bit because as long as I am under their roof, I am not the master of what I do with my time anymore. I am once again on their clock. Their very reasonable about it, but you get used to being the master of your own life.

Kim Jong-il died
I'm not sure that's even possible. I think he was pretty much already at the maximum crazy you can manifest in a human body without causing it to like, start disintegrating or something. I suppose you could fit some more evil in there though.

Tip.It Times - 18th December 2011
In regards to Storms article, I think there is a valid argument for fairness that goes beyond people being motivated by envy or anger (or both). If you disregard discrepancies in membership fees based on method, location, and time (some people on credit cards are still using the old subscription rate because they never lapsed, such as myself), then you have a situation where all the members are paying the same membership fee, and are not recieveing equal potential benefits in return. I would consider the chrome goggles the exception since that was open to all members at not cost and minimal effort. I mean, I totally get why they are doing it, and I also understand that promotional items tend not to work as well when everyone gets the item. And I can live with that. The problem with a promotional offer though, and this applies to just about any promotional offer run by any company be it Jagex, your phone company, or your bank, etc. is that by doing a favour for your new client, you are making it seem like they are more important than your existing clients, that your...taking your existing clientele for granted. There is always a hint of a message saying 'we don't need to do anything extra for you, because your already giving us money'. Any time you elevate one group above the rest, such as by doing them a 'favour', you are automatically putting down everyone else, whether that is your intention or not. I could care less about the promotional items (though I wouldn't mind the green skin). I'm not going to lose any sleep over not having them. But I am getting a little tired of being sent the message that I mean less to Jagex because of how I choose to pay for their game. As for the total 180 we have been seeing in terms of marketing policy, my guess is that RuneScape is really starting to feel the heat of competition. RuneScape enjoyed next to no competition until WoW came along, but I feel like its grown beyond that now. There are a lot of games out there, and RuneScape is fighting to attract new users. And they have to fight, because everyone else is doing it. If they don't, they risk the game stagnating. The game only works as long as new users keep coming in, to balance out the rest of the player base.

Today...
I'd take eating over drinking myself, but whatever. The person who uses an electric heater for their room (because its not connected to the house heating system) moved out, and I have temporarily reclaimed it (since it technically is mine, just on perpetual loan) for my own room. Enjoying these few days of having my room as warn as the rest of the house before I go back to my parents. This almost makes me want to get myself another heater, so that my room can have one too.

I can't play RuneScape.
Moved to where all the technical people are. EDIT: Looked at your pic again, and from my experiance, what you should do first is close youtube out completly before trying to load the game. I use firefox on my laptop, and shortly before I stoped using it to play (got a new comp), I found that youtube was locking up my browser whenever it ran with runescape open at the same time, and having youtube open when trying to load runescape caused the browser to crash. I suppose the first thing I would do is disable all ad-ons that you have installed on your browser. Also, if the game has been working recently, and this is a new problem today, then you might just do a system restore to a time when the game worked and see if that helps.

13 - Dec - 2011 The Flash Powder Factory
I am super glad I decided to finally get the full rouge set a month or so back. Back then I just wanted to be able to store it all in my house, but now its almost impossible to obtain by the look of things. I've only seen ruble a couple times in the factory in probably 3 hours spent there, and I am under the impression that rouge gear is not a common gain from it. I think the factory might be my new agility trainer. I think I can probably manage at least close to 60k an hour on a regular basis, and if it means not being bored out of my skull trying to click on the tiny weeny, itty bitty click spots on ape atoll, then hallelujah!

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Girls have a cycle, but its monthly, not yearly. Where a woman is in their cycle has an impact on their...for lack of a better term their standards. Can't say I have noticed a yearly cycle though. Where you are in your cycle also has impact on how much you get in tips too, because of pheromones and what not which play with the desires of men.

Hot celebrities/models!! :) Post them here!!
*shrugs* I don't know what it is, and it might have something to do with the pose and the expression, but at first glance she looks a lot younger to me than I suspect she really is.

Can't connet to update server..?
Have you tried updating the drivers on your network/Ethernet adapter? If wireless works but wired doesn't, then the problem is almost certainly some place in the adapter, not in your antivirus or anything like that.

Today...
I am realising just now how much medication I am on recently impacts my appetite. I'm entering the last couple of weeks of the weaning phase (since going cold turkey could temporarily cripple my immune system), and it just hit me that I am about to go to sleep, and all I've eaten since I got up is half a bag of chips and some water. As a bonus, the medication has an effect on your energy level that you really start to miss once its gone. If my body had its way, I would be sleeping for like 13 hours at a time until it can get used to the diminished drug levels. Coupled with the non-existent appetite doing jack shit to help combat the fatigue, and this isn't going to be a fun month. Actually, the appetite nuking is probably half of what is making me tired in the first place. My weight is holding rock steady though, so at least I'm not starving myself on accident or anything.

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
Skating dates work better when you can both actually skate. I figure that's one of the more humiliating things to learn once your older because as you said, you have all these little kids who are pro. Also, the older you are, the further you have to fall
